Withdrawl symptoms

How long do they last and what should my health care provider have given to help with my withdrawl sysmptoms from oxicontin 60 mg and hydrocodone 15 mg?  My symptoms include upset stomach, severe hot flashes followed by extreme cold flashes. I have not been able to sleep for 5 days, I feel like I'm going to crawl out of my skin.  Dr. sent me home with a lecture and nothing to help with my symptoms.  Any help would be much appreciated.

First find a new doctor, even if they werent the one prescribing for you they should help you.Mine did and was very helpfull and understanding. The one who was prescribing me my pills offered no more help then a taper plan.
Go to the top of the page and go to the health pages and check out the thomas recipe and use accordingly. It really does help releave alot of the symptoms you are feeling.
How long were you on the pills for?  Keep posting and great work on 5 days!!!

Do you have chronic pain?
Were you taking prescribed medicine or getting it illegallly?
