Xanax Withdrawal

Going through a taper schedule under a Dr's care. Can withdrawal, even done properly, impair memory? And to what degree?

Now my memory was awful while I was using...and for a while after quitting, I felt fuzzy headed like lost said...it is better and better each day!

Thanks for your comments. Actually, thank all of you. I did read on Dr. Ashton's site that it can impair memory as if you were still on the drug and can cause behavioral issues.
By the way lostmarbles, you are beautiful!!!

My DOC was xanax and I can tell you that my memory was shot to pieces while I was on it plus my behaviour was off the scale.. since withdraing off it my memory became fuzzy and I found myself wondering around the house and not knowing what it was I went to the kitchen for etc, so yes your memeory does goabit awry but it does come back... give yourself a couple of weeks and dont worry... it is normal.. keep posting and good luck!

I have heard that temporarily you can lose some short term memoroy...just for a while...I went to a mall and lost my car today...I am ten days clean...now this may have happened anyway...who knows and i found that dern car eventually  LOL...But I have been functioning fine everwhere else and I have a stressful job...i am doing ok     cna find my way home and all that!  hang in there...but i really felt stupid wandering around that parking lot today

I dont know ,i suggest that you dicuss that with your doctor.
