Congrats on no drinking!!!! I know how tough that can be. Keep posting here....sara
THANKS for info.
No I quit drinking a month now and am taking aclass on alcohol abuse.
I will be asking other questions.
thank you
are you drinking? taking drugs?
Well...ur title says alcohol///with alcohol..it seems if a person drinks enuf to become physically dependent on it..as a rule they r a substance abusers cos alcohol is used socially and not prescribed for pain anywhere that i know of...a person who drinks nightly..to the point they feel bad if they dont or get sick..is a substance abuser/alcoholic...addicts and alcoholics are both substance abusers
Pain meds however..people can become physically dependent on and Not be an true Addict..nor do they abuse it..they take it as prescribed///but if someone takes a narcotic or benzo long enuf//they will have physical wds getting off of it..
IE...a diagnosed terminal cancer patient is on a fentanyl a 200 mcg patch for 4 yrs and now is in remission without intolerable pain and wants to stop...can they do it painlessly? Very Doubtful....but a true addict would have a tougher time as this person only has to go thru physical wds...which is tough for the drug i mentioned at htis dose for 4 yrs...but they would not have the mental postion an addict or an alcoholic will have..make sense?
Heavy drinkers need to stop drinking as a rule under a drs care...DTs r a complication//for heavy drinkers...as a rule narcs can be stopped much less dangerously than heavy alcohol abuse//physically// cos as a rule there is no risks unless a narc user is old and has heart failure//mentally both r a true bumber//and aftercare for alcohol abuse is almost imperative cos it is everywhere//and drug abuse is not socially acceptable like alcohol is..peeps do not pass out oxys at the bowling alley like they do beers
u didnt state what ur abuse issue was/or if there was one at all???..please keep posting
