anyone take atarax for sleep?

I was rx atarax for sleep. I read its an antihistimine but rx more for anixity. The docs i see dont usually rx ne thing addictive so i am not to worried about that but will it help with the anxitiy during wd?

I took it a few times, was prescribed to me for "itching".  I know that sounds funny on a site like this since pretty much all opiates make you itchy...They gave it to me for a foot rash I had....I didn't have any bad experience with it, it seemed to solve my problem which was itching my foot with my other foot at night while sleeping and making the rash worse....True story, I know it sounds odd...but true...Oh and the doctor cautioned me to not take any muscle relaxers with this...He said it was super dangerous...I do remember being in a very deep sleep...
