I did as well. I found that not only did it speed u the withdrawal and push the toxins out faster, it also gave me energy and confidence. I ran on the treadmill almost everyday for 2-3 miles.
yes....I read where exercising releases same endorphins as morphine and I was on my elliptical like a caged hamster the first week...I think it did help...it gave an outlet to the restless anxiety I had...
I couldn't excercise during detox. I couldn't even walk. Too weak, couldn't eat for two weeks, and literally had to be half-carried into the bathroom. I couldn't really do much of anything until 8 weeks clean. I could only do a few things before the exhaution hit me. Then it slowly got better. I had good days and bad days, and I still do a year out. I try to excercise. Sometimes it makes me feel great, but if I'm low on energy and force myself, it usually bites me in the butt and makes it worse. I also tend to get light-headed/rapid heart rate too on those days. I tried the amino/vitamins, etc in the Thomas Recipe, but my stomach wouldn't tolerate it. Even a regular mulit-vitamin bothers me. I have a history of ulcers, and takes meds for that. That is the only med I take now. I'm glad that so many are feeling better with excerise, and it's helping to stay clean. That's the most important thing :)
I think exercis is also what made my energy return! the more i did whether i felt like it or not..the more energy i had each day
Hi...a state of mind; I started on the 3rd day and honestly, I personally didn't feel like I had any energy for the first 2 months; but I did. I pushed myself hard on the weights and cardio, took quite a few supplements and started dieting. BTW - I quit smoking during this time, took a new job, lol....yea, I made some serious changes. It's all good and I still hit the gym hard...I still think that's what saved me...no more knee pain because the muscles are so built up now. If I take more than 5 days off, I can definitely feel my mood changing...so I try to stay in tune with the exercise and mind connection. For those of you who are battling depression, fatigue, etc...try to engage in some exercise, check out the amino protocol, try to eliminate other bad habits, lol, if you can....and appreciate yourself!
After quitting the meds...you deserve the best from life...go get some!
I got out and walked becuz you told me that would help!!!! I didnt go far in the beginning but it was something and it did help. I still take Ester C B6 and B12.
I also walked, because AVIS told me too...LOL, I was like no way, but i did, it was a short one , but helped sooo much..then the next time it helped more...there was no way i could do it on day 3...but it helped for sure....As far as depression, i took the max lexapro and i think that saved my butt..I also had clonodine, and klonopin...i was very carefull with the klonopin...i took immodium, and OTC sleep aids...But for me sleep just took time...I took some vitamins and aminos, but did not follow it like i should of...i remember also hitting a slump, and just wanted my bed, but i know that only made it worst..When i made myself do something , i felt much better....
I did!!!! I had not exercised in years I start the first day of detox cuz I thought it might help wear me out so i would get some sleep I ended up finding out really quickly that it was helping me feel better over all I completely recommend it the first few days even if you just walk it helps.
