Tapered - Now ready to quit HELP!

NOTE: I posted this earlier, but I couldn't find my post, so I apologize for double posting.

I posted on here back in June about my addiction to Percocets.  I decided to do a VERY slow taper and started going down, very little by very little and I am now at the point to where I am taking only 3 per day.  It has NOT been easy.  I went down 5 mgs per month.  Friday is my last day on them and I will not be taking any on Saturday.

What can I expect?  I was at 4.5 Percocets a couple of months ago and wound up stuck in Vegas because of weather of all things.  The withdrawals were horrible (I had not planned to be away that long and didn't have enough pills to last me another day).  My main symptoms were anxiety, muscle aches and restless leg syndrome.

When will the withdrawal symptoms subside?  Is there anything I can take to curb the restless legs?  That was awful, by the way... Especially being stuck on a 5 hour plane ride in a cramped seat.)  I have Xanax to help the anxiety and Ibuprofen for muscle aches.  What about sleeping?  Should I plan to have something for that?

How long will the symptoms of withdrawal last is my main concern.  I have 9 days off.  Is that sufficient time to withdrawal?

One other question.  I think that my addiction to Percocets is due in part to the euphoria that it gives me.  Does the craving for that euphoric feeling go away?  How do I deal with craving that?

I am not depressed, at least I don't think so, but I simply LOVE the feeling I get when I take a Perc.  It "Percs" me up.

God - I dread Saturday, but at the same time, I am weirdly looking forward to it. Does that make sense?

exercise helps...it is a fact that people who exercise do not get rls as often as those who do not...there was a study and i put the results in my journal on some things that help as well,,,,you should be good to go by the new job date..maybe some fatigue and stuff..staying busy helps that tho..and the supps, vitamins and a positive attitude...flushing can be a great power booster!

Thank you all so much for your support!

I managed (quite well, actually) on a HALF of an oxycontin.  I realize that it is a higher mg pill, but I figure it was more or less like 1-2 percs.  It's the only thing I could get my hands on until Saturday.  I do not want to visit my usual source EVER again - thus the oxycontin instead of percs.  I only have two left - one for tomorrow and one for Friday.  If I do that, I will have a half left over which I am going to ceremoniously flush.

I also found out that I have more comp time than I originally thought and I am going to take 16 days off.  That should be sufficient time to get back on my feet, right?  I have to start a new job in a very stressful capacity on January 5th and I need to be assured that I will be okay that first day.  I'm just scared.  I do not want to relapse.

Also, anything I should take for the restless leg syndrome?  I worry about that the most since that was the WORST during that one day I was without my "friends."

it will get better everyday..i hear ya on the good feeling.  i loved them for that energetic feeling..like i was superwoman.  it does take time to get your energy back.  some people do great, others like myself..it took about a good 3 weeks to really feel good.  i still have days where there is no energy but i think thats just part of life.   cravings were killing me for awhile but they have subsided a whole lot.  everyday it will get easier...you just have to be strong and resist temptation.  it s hard but many of us have pulled out of the deep water we were in.  stay here and keep posting and asking questions.  you are not alone my friend.....good luck and congrats to you for wanting to get your life back...maria
