clean but not free

Well last night was another night of no sleep and some cold sweats but today is the first day that I actually feel like i'm clean from the pills. I feel pretty good today. I didnt take my thyroid med today and I think that has helped. My anxiety is way down. I dont feel as though i'm free of the pills yet as i still think about them and crave them at times but i finally feel like they are out of my body right now. I must say it feels damn good too. Thanks to all of you. I did it (so far),never could do it before by myself so thanks again. John

Great Job!!  Everyday will get better and better!  I have been clean now for 19 days!  Its been a real struggle.  My son flipped on me a couple of times to and I wanted to use sooooooo bad, but I told myself he's always gonna do this so get used to it!!!!  Anyway I feel so great now each day it gets easier and easier!  I have the control now and only think about it once and a while throughout the day.  It was every minute!  Now I go hours!!  We are freeeeeeee!!!!!

great job, i knew you could do it, and i get the same cravings for pills at least today i have, and really im not feeling any pain at all, but i sure as hell am not going through withdrawals again, you can forget that, keep it up, everyone is stronger than they give them self credit for, good luck buddy

Thanks for sharing that with me... I was taking the same just not quite as much as you. I also did a real quick taper. But, I think it really helped me to d/t without so many w/d. I am day 3 clean and I feel pretty good. Not having to worry about my next high I am able to concentrate on the better things in life....

well, I know it goes without saying but for me I like to get it ou there anyway. I guess i just like it when people say those things to me, so I figure it might feel good for them too..

and hey man, as for the Sub I am waiting for my insurance cards to get here, which should have been before the new year.. My insurance acutally started Jan.1st.. We are calling to get it worked out, but you know how that **** is. just another stressful thing when we need it right away.. I am trying to take it 1 day at a time and I am doing better with my tapering of pills until I can get in and be seen..

I was taking 10-15 10/750 loracets a day for the last five years. I've been completely off for 6 days now. Just before new years weekend i was eating them like candy 2-3 at a time. Trying to get that one last high,it never happened. So then i had five left,started my detox and when it got real tough i took a half of one but no more than two halfs a day. I did that for three days and now i'm 6 days clean. It went pretty much like that. My head was so cloudy for days I don't really remember exactly. I know new years eve I had some problems with my oldest daughter and bought some and took 2 on new years but then just the halfs after that. As each hour goes by it is getting easier and easier. See John.. told you buddy!  I knew you would get through it and not give in..  You have made it through the hardest part of the physical withdrawl.. Now you need to find ways to help you curve those cravings and feelings of wanting that feeling again.. Try and see about N/A, or maybe some addiction counseling?  I think you are doing great buddy!

How long have you been off the pills? what were you taking? and dosage? im just curious, i know you could do it, a lot of people on here have done it and im glad you realized that you had a problem and are fixing it. My heart goes out to you and your loved ones. GOOD LUCK you can do it. I've been two weeks clean and im still withdrawling
