Thank you thank you thank you! I took my last dose at 7pm and my three days of hell start tomorrow, I just have to stay strong. I am so glad I found this page I have a feeling I will be asking alot of questions and whining alot here the next couple of days. I am going to go to walmart tonight while still feeling well and get the gatorade soups and vitamins. Thank u sooo much I don't feel so all alone in this now. Congrats on ur road to recovery I hope to be joining you soon.
Hey you will really be okay. I suggest drinking some powerade and try to help the detox along with drinking. I was never much of a water or fluid drinker so I think I forced myself to drink that stuff about 32oz maybe 2 of them in a day along with chamamille tea and had to have one diet coke just to keep the caffiene headache away but I do think that drinking gatorade or powerade type drinks helped me. I took ibuprofen and tylenol to help my aches and one hot shower in the am and one hot bath at night. I also stuck to soups, chicken noodle and rice and lets see some popsicles and things that runny noses can stand. I had a sinus infection on top of withdrawl so hard for me to tell what part was withdrawl and what part was being sick.
I just did not try to eat solids because I was really so full of powerade I felt no hunger.
I used a heating pad and wrapped up in a huge fleece blanket for feeling the cold feelings and hot decaf teas. I only had 2 bouts of the runs and it was not bad really. I spent more time in the bathroom getting rid of the full bladder lol.
I also was not able to really concentrate and this board helped me so very much. Plus some hard core solitare. And a movie or two to get my mind off wanting to take a pill to keep from feeling so rank.
I want this recovery very much and I don't want to use again because of all the things that withdrawl has to offer the restless legs are for me the worst part because I can not sleep with that issue at all. If you have something to help you rest that would be helpful.
I think too that making yourself move and walk about the 2nd and 3rd days is helping. I don't mean running I mean getting out of the house and forcing yourself into public and maybe say browsing a store just to get out and walk. That is not for everybody now just what helped me. In my earlier incarnations of withdrawl on stronger meds I doubt I could have done any of the walk part the first week. But on these it's doable.
The sneezes and the sniffles are annoying. It's not the worst flu though, I honestly have lived thru the worst flu and prayed to just die and this is not easy but it's very doable. All it takes is a strong will to do it. The physical is not as bad as I thought but I hydrated the devil out of myself too. So maybe that was the key.
check in and let us know how it all goes and the very best to you. I hope you don't mind my suggestions, and that is all they are is suggestions. Do what is right for you.
Doable CT..for sure...i was at a higher dose..took 4 days off and went back to work day 5..coulda gone back day 4 but did enjoy that extra day off...for quite a while ur enery may be low...and depression may be a problem off and on..that is why exercise and the thomas recipe are soooooooooooooo important...keep posting and go for it now while u r not too deep into that creepy place/addiction only gets worse/not better
Thanks hobbity for the support and encouragement.
That's about where my level was on the same drug and dose. I started at 6 pm on Tuesday and managed to drive my child to school the next day, and pick her up. I then made it to the store on Wednesday and on Friday I dragged around a Walmart for an hour and took a walk that night. Sat I felt draggy but over the worst. 3 days should do it and you can still walk around it's a forced thing but you can be functional just not a happy person feeling good now. I think you will be just fine. Really.
