I would just like to mention that although Tramadol is technically not considered a narcotic it is however an opiod and as stated above , can be habit forming. If I had a pain I would want to stay away from any and all opiods at this stage. However, consult your doctor about this and hopefully he/she can give you a clearer picture.

Hi Friend,
The meds I know that aren't narcotics that could help are Savella, Lyrica and Cymbalta.  I have had back surgery (a new disc) and back pain and am taking the first two.  I believe they help a good bit.
The other option is tramadol.  However, it is addictive, although many doctors don't think so.  Just read the posts on this one to get a fuller picture.  In case you didn't know about it, I wanted to mention it.
I hope something I mentioned may be helpful to you.  I am tapering my pain pills right now.  I have determined that the emotional insanity of Opana (a strong Opiate) isn't worth the pain killing properties.  I just want to think more clearly  This feels like a long process.  God bless you.
Big Hug,
Marie

Hi and great job on Day 4!!!  It's the day that I think I finally started leveling off from the detox and where it gradually got better. I am on day 13 now from a one year oxynorm addiction that had me snorting 250mg a day at the end.  So I know your pain right now. And I read people telling me what I  telling you now. And it helped! And continues to help!  There are 'non narcotic pain relievers' and if you just google that you can find them easily.  Opiates are obviously different as they block our receptors that tell us if we feel pain or not. I took them purely recreational. Never had pains to deal with sobi truly feel for you! Stay strong and keep posting and I really wanna see an honest day 5 post tomorrow from you. And just take it one hour/afternoon/evening/night at a time!
