qutting tramadol without ANYONE knowing....

I'm brand new to this site, only 2 pathetic days of Tramadol. I am embarassed to be on here for help as I was only taking 2 a day, but it's been 8 months and I'm already totally addicted and can't go a day without it. I am doing it cold turkey.I've been on here reading for hours and it helped immensely. I thought I was the only person in the world with the feelings of your life being conrtrolled by a little while pill (the *******!) but apparently I'm not. I have to agree with a few others that it somehow oddly seemed to give my energy. I have zero experience with addiciton of any kind, either myself or my family. One question I have - did many you do this by yourself? Some mentioned a spouse...NO one, and I mean NO has any idea I take this stuff or that I'm addicted. I stupidly keep asking my dr for an Rx and she stupidly keeps writing them (only 50 a month) but I have them all gone. Is it possible that I do this? I have a corporate job; no one at work knows, no friends know, and my husband has no idea. He may be wondering why I've been spontaneously crying the last two days, or woke up drenched in sweat (it was a cold night) Scary people right - and this is from only 2  A DAY! .

Hey don't you worry you're doing great!! There is no problem here bigger than another. We're all in this together! I know that I'm here personally to whine, cry, vent, etc at times and it's OK!! Haha! That's what we're all here for. When I'm down I may need YOU to pick me up:). You're not dumb for being on here, actually you're being quite the opposite: smart. Very smart. Stop now before you get up to 10-20+ pills a day and your life starts to spiral out of control and you start getting them illegally. Trust me, it gets worse before it gets better. You're doing to beat this and do great! You already have 2 days down! Those were the worst for me! You've got this :)!

UGH~!  I could not get the hang of using this site, and apparently I started another "new post", I think I have it right now!?  so I would keep checking back to my first post, to see if people replied? Still feeling dumb for being on here...I feel like others have been taking more pills, for a longer amount of time, and I should stop my whining!

sorry my last post should have started with TW0 DAYS OFF of tramadol.  (I have 2 pills left and I refuse to take them, and i refuse to ask my dr for another prescription this month) With having taken it every day for 8 months, the thought of not taking it is terrifying? I am tyring to understand this feeling? I am literally hour by hour right now trying not to take one; and what is keeping me going is that people has posted that this feeling DOES pass and you get your normal life back - I used to be social and energetic and an over achiever,  this stuff gave me "short term, feel good energy" and then makes you succumb to your life revolving around a pill. .

2 Days off is great!!! Those were the worst for me! After 72 hrs you should start to really see a difference in how you feel physically. You're doing awesome!

Hi! Yay glad you made your own post! There's so many of us in the same position as you and it's going to be okay, I promise. I'm only on day 6 from a 10 percocet/hydro a day addiction and the first 48 hrs were the worst. I told my husband that I was sick so he was great at taking care of me! After 48 hrs it gets much easier and doable. Definitely look up the Thomas Recipe and get some Ensure (great meal replacement), epsom salt (you'll love those baths), and Gatorade. Oh, and bananas for RLS! You can do this!!
