Yes. The brain stops making chemicals like endorphins while taking pills. So there will be less & less as you taper. Sharing your feelings with others will help.
For me, I'm in the fake it till you can make it. I don't enjoy anything. ( depression)
But I know it's in my head. So I must keep trying. I force myself to go outside. Go for a walk. Eat. Go to art studio. I know sooner or later I'll naturally desire & feel benefits. Have faith is what I'm saying.
Can it be depression even while I'm tapering?
Hi! Congratulations on your taper! Soon you will be free from the chains of addiction. The best advice I ever received was GET UP & GET MOVING, ESPECIALLY WHEN U DON'T WANT TO! I KNOW its not easy but pushing through it and remaining active really will help you heal faster...Best of luck to you!
You may need to get out to a group meeting. If you think it's depression there are free support groups thru NAMI web site.
Or it could be you're experiencing normal withdrawals that are giving you the blah's. The physical weakness is common. Mentally your brain needs to start producing it's own internal juice again. Pamela
