traknyou, definately take everyones advice on the message board because i know it saved me. I'm on my 9th day of sobriety from a 20 a day vicodin addiction and this is about my 5th time trying to kick it. The other times i didnt realize how essential it is to make sure you eat and drink tons of fluids, take the vitamins, take showers etc. oh and make yourself smile!! i know its so hard to do, but seriously it makes you feel better even if its just a smidgen. if you really want this, then go for it! dont give up and stay strong! :)
HI Congrats on making it to 3 days your threw the worst of it now at this point it all about keep your attitude good and damage control....a hot soak goes a long way to releave
symptoms I hope you dont read this till tomorrow morning but just let me be the one to encourage you if its 3am and your reading this sleep is hard to come by it hard to say day 3 dose it for some others its a 4 day deal coming out on day 5 will see what tomorrow brings

Day Three is "The Monster." Although you mightn't fell much better on Day Four, you've passed a milestone when most people crack.
No looking back now: you'll notice little improvements with every day more. You've made it.
The most important thing to consider now is how to avoid that inflated confidence that comes with a few weeks away from this ****ing poison. It takes a long time for your body to re-set, so try to get busy when the listlessness starts to subside.

Hang in there and keep your mind and body as busy as you can. Take a brisk walk, a hot bath does wonders.....take as many as you can to get you through the worst! Drink water and gatorade, eat a little every now and then to help with the energy level.
STAY STRONG YOU CAN DO THIS!!! I am speaking from experience. I just quit November 30th.
Immodium for the tummy issues, sleeping aid to get a little sleep, and MORE BATHS!
Hi there and welcome! Congrats on 3 days clean. What were you on-you mentioned pills. Just curious. Usually what happens after quitting cold turkey is you experience the physical withdrawl,which,depending on how much you were on and for how long,can be uncomfortable to severe. In your case it sounds like you are experiencing severe physical withdrawls. There is not a ton you can do but 1 thing to help with the diarrhea (if you don't have it now you will,trust me) is pick up some Immodium AD. Drink plenty of fluids (I recommend Gatorade) and try to stay active,even though you won't feel like t. Laying around just makes you feel crappier and crappier-even if you can walk around the block,down the hall a few times,something little.Believe it or not it helps mentally&physically.You'll get thru this my friend. Look at the Thomas recipe it's on lower right hand side of page it can help with the w/d's a lot if your at 3 days you should be right near the end cause for most it's like 4 days give or take but that's why your feeling so bad, take hot shower's make sure to hydrate and check out the recipe you may have some of the ingredients already ,keep us posted ,god bless ,jeff..

You are going through the worst right now so the good thing is that you are near the end of the tunnel, hang in, ok ? :) are you taking anything now to help you with wds ? what are you feeling right now ? read the thomas recipe ( right side of your screen ) and the amino acid protocol , there are some good advices to follow .... and don't forget the therapeutic and relaxing hot baths with epsom salts, you will feel a lot better after one...and keep posting and saying what are you feeling so that we can help you better, ok ?
