manonfire or anyone

Today I feel like I do after I make a taper, but that can't be it because my last one was on March 15. I wonder if it matters that instead of going to a 25mcg after the 50mcg, I went to two 12mcg's. They are also Mylan and before they were Janssen.
Maybe it's just a bug, but I really feel awful. I know there aren't any "patchers" here right now, but thought I needed to post anyway.
I did see something beautiful today. A rainbow!! I haven't seen one in over ten years.I wish all of you the very best and seeing you do so well gives me incentive.
Hugs......LS

So so so sorry to hear your not feeling well. I feel so bad because I have no idea what you are feeling like. I have no experience with patches. I so wish I could be of a great support to you as you were to me during my valium w/d.
I hope some others here who have had experiences with patches can be of help to you.
All I can offer is to say *stay strong* and try and weather the lows. So glad you found some joy in seeing a rainbow. Keep that in your mind always during the bad times. Did you take a picture of it?

I wish you the best and even though it must be hard, please hang in there and know that I care and also I am sure many others do too.

You mentioned that you take xanax sometimes. If your last taper on the patch was march then you could be withdrawing from the xanax and that is very dangerous!

Sometimes PA's can be such idiots! Fentanyl is only for patients who are already on a opioid medication and somewhat tolerant. There is a very strict table that calculates what opioisa the patient is on, how much and therefore how much fentanyl should be prescribed. My mom has had to defent God knows how many doctors who's PA's did something stupid, cause they can only prescribe meds under the MD's name so the MD id liable. Write back and let me know about your xanax usage or any other benzo's you might have been taking.

I sent that last reply w/o spell checking it or proof reading. I'm so sorry. You seem to know about fentanyl and I need help. I don't know if I'm sick with a bug or more w/d. I have never abused my meds. There is so much to say and such a limited place to say it.

Thanks So Much....Hugs....LS

I have tried not to complain because the kind people on this forum have supported me since I first posted here in Feb.

I had four surgeries at I U hosptial in Indianapolis to remove the humorus bone in my left upper arm. There was a maligant tumor in the middle of the bone. I was so lucky because the cancer was slow growing and I was told I probably had it since I was a teen. (longggg time ago)
I had two revisions done. My surgeon had me on a morphine pump for two days and then an oral painkillere. After that I wouldn't really need anything. After it was healed there was no pain. I went to inpatient rehab for PT to learn how to do things w/o the use of my arm. I can use the forearm and hand but three of the fingers and the palm are numb. I consider myself blessed until I met the %$$()_)__^%$##@#@!!## nurse practitioner at rehab. He slapped the fentanyl patch on me and left orders for me to have two vicodin every four hours. I was a zombie. It says right on the Fentanyl patch box "not to be used for post op pain." When I came home I was still on the 100mcg's. I went to me family dr. and she is helping me taper off  of the darn things. She makes me wait almost three months before she will let me taper again. My last taper was March 15. I went from a 25mcg plus a 12mcg to just a 25. Then the taper in March that I mentioned. I went down to wearing two 12mcg patches. They stick so much better. Now I'm feeling awful. I have had all the symptoms. Too many to list here. I have had some good days also. I'm so shakey inside tonight. I take xanax but I've taken it so long I don't think it's helping. I don't want to add anymore meds. I know this is rambling. If you have any advice I would be so grateful.......Hugs....LS

She went to 2 12's  not one 1.. and that was over a month ago??  Could she be having some relapse in WD symptoms?? I hear that happens with some meds??
I just worry about you LadyS.. I hate when you are feeling bad.. you work so hard you deserve to feel good...

oh yeah! that makes a big difference. Withdrawal does not only occur when you stop a drug but when you lower the dosage too much too fast. You just need to taper more slowly. Going to 12mcg was definitely too much too fast.

Hi, I have used the patches in the past but it has been a couple years.  I don't really think there would be any difference in using 2 12.5's than 1 25 mg, do you?  Maybe you are coming down with a bug or something?  Sorry are you feeling bad.

Love, Cindy

I know I am not a patcher.. but I want to support you in anyway you need.. So sorry you aren't feeling well.. I have had some days like that. Its been quite some time since your last taper so I would assume that isn't it.. are you having physical symptoms or mental?? could be a bug.. could be a change in weather??  I doubt the patch difference matters.. it was only 1 mcg right??  I am rooting for you to get your life back.. you have beated the cancer.. so You Can Beat This monster...
