Thanks everyone for your feedback, i dont want to get back on pills, first of all i cant afford them its gonna leed into wanting more than the fear of buying them on the street at 6 bucks a piece 10 a day or 2 60.00 dollars , i dont have that kind off cash, i know you all know because we all have done it going to more then one doctor wont work because they check even the drugstores check if you get 90 a month it never got me at 10 to 12 a day norcos do you like that, then you switch to something else and that dont work either, i know why my thinking is the way it is is because i know i will get a buzz now because ive been off it long enough for it to do so, why fool myself, it wont last, maybe a week , then right back where i started, needing them not to feel sick, no more buzz not worth it, i thought i would share that for the new commers, thanks John

I am not sure how to take this post John.  Are you saying you dont want back on the pills cuz of the price?

Are you off the Methadone completely now?  Are you talking about wanting back on methadone, or back on your drug of choice?  I know you were almost done with your taper, where are you?

Without being 100% sure what you're saying here, all I can say is you've come so far, and have done great!

Hi John- I think I know what you're saying...You just want to let folks know that thoughts of going back to pills will pop into our heads but we can process it and know that it's not a good idea at all. Is that right?

You haven't dropped to 4 mgs yet but it's coming up, I think, and maybe you're having thoughts about a lot of things...this will be a whole, new lifestyle for you!  I'll tell you, though, you sound better and better every day!

what i was trying to say i guess i worded wrong its not worth it to go back to pills im at 9mgs till tues. then 4mgs for a week then im done thanks john

Hey, John....you are doing REALLY good with your taper.....and you truly DO sound better all the time.

I am wondering, like a lot of others here, what the reason is that you aren't getting involved with other recovering addicts NOW even tho you aren't down to 4 mg and off the methadone completely?  

In the situation you have described living in (with your ex and her sister),
I would think spending time at some meetings jawing with other recoverying addicts would totally BLESS YOUR SOCKS OFF, John!!

It will be an opportunity to get you out of that house, make some new friends that ALSO want to STAY clean....and then those pills you keep mentioning won't call your name.  You are progressing so well with the physical part of the taper/detox.....now if you can get your mind and spirit filled by doing some NEW recovery activities.....you will really be FLYIN!

HI John  how it the taper going?? you low enought now to jump it hard taking low dose methadone it wont hold you over Keep  posting for support.....................................Gnarly

hi im still at 9mgs this tues. I will be at 4mgs I will run that for a week then jump off right now I get short of breath like you cant yawn, tension like someone sitting on your chest, blood pressure is ok pulse is high 90 just sitting, I took a atihistimine seem to work I guess that's ok to take, its prob. gonna be a little rough at 4mgs and when I quit in a week, they wont take me any lower then 4mgs that ends the orders of the decrease, im takeing vitimans thanks John
