you have to get your anxiety treated  methadone isn't the answer once you are on they dont want you to come off of it and like people said you dont wanna go there please think this thru you need to be treated for your addiction why you use why you always relapse not just putting a band aid on it and going the methadone route there are some real horror stories on here about coming of of it please think this through

thanks everyone but i was just wondering what the process is? like if i go in tomorrow what should i expect? will they put me on the meds right away? i dont plan on being on it for long and im sure you have heard others say the same thing but i have been to 3 detoxes, meetings, tried cold turkey and have tried both suboxine and subutex and i still have all the anxiety and the need to  want to use. Can someone please inform me on what to expect my first day meeting with them? please and thanks you. ANd thank you for all caring this is a horrible disease and it progresses over the years from percs to oxys and then back to perks once they changed the oxys and now unfortunately the needle got me. My sister has been on the clinic for some time and it has done wonders for her but unlike her i want to stop and DONT plan on staying on it. i would like to go on the lowest dose possible and taper off them. My life has become unmanageable and i feel like this would give me structure instead of waking up every morning with anxiety wondering how i will get my next high, well not even high, at this point its just to make me feel like a normal functioning person, well im rambling. someone please let me know what to expect the first day i go to sign up. THANK YOU!

I was on the methadone. During my active using years to pills I saw a lot of stuff I shouldn't have seen. I done a lot of crap I shouldn't have done. I hurt a lot of people mostly my family by not being "there". I lied, stole and cheated to get what I wanted. Then I got on methadone and then all the things I did while on the pills I intensified those bad things by 10. I was on it for 2 years. The absolute worst 2 years of my life. I fell into a dark pit. A darkness I had never saw before. A darkness I never felt before. A depression.

I don't recommend it. But if ur about making things worst on yourself and are up to moving into a whole other different part of he!! then go for it. I just wish I had someone to tell me those things b4 I got on it. I did more damage to myself physically and mentally just from being on it.

WE r here for ya. Never alone again.

Hi  well unless your living with a needle in your arm it should not be used out of all the synthetic opiates out there methadone is the hardest to come off of if your stuck on the pills you can detox in about a week  methadone takes months and recovery is slow  I was dope sick for 90 days if someone where to offer it to me I would run the other way ...we also do at home detoxes so keep reading the other post  let us know  how much your on and for how long keep posting for support
