im hurting so bad right now on 45 hours of detox....i feel like im dying...i feel like im losing everything...i need help

Get some immoduim as well,,dont drink any coffee either,,and dont take alot of asprin products,,4 doenst work better than 2,,too many will make you sick on top of whats going on,,,and be easy on yourself,,were not bad people trying to get good,,were sick people trying to get well and made some bad choices or  were in a situation that took us to the level of withdrawls,,,prescribed or not,,Focus on you and recover,,let your wife know how all this has made you feel and that you love her...she will come to accept it,,truth not lies or lip service,,,ive done this thing about 5 times

all I can give you are my experiance as an addict and as a medical proffesional. Most of us have gone through what you are experiancing right now. some had it better some had it worse but we all did it and you can to. I type this so maybe you can look at it and I don't have it that bad. of you can just tell me to F-off lol  

Let me tell you a story about a freind who was a patient of mine at BROOKE ARMY MEDICAL CENTER his story goes like this

He was deployed to Iraq while his wife was 5 months pregnant with twins the day his wife went into labor he was out on patrol when his partol was hit by an IED then small arms fire came in he was the gunner of a M1 .50 cal machine gun as he returned fire his vehicle was hit by a RPG round setting it on fire he mantained his fireing until the 2nd RPG round hit were it knocked him to the floor of the vehicle he got up to retuen fire but he could not see nor could he feel his hands due to the fact that his hands and gotten melted to the weapon due to the heat of the fire...

when I started treating him at BAMC he had full thickness burns to his face and both arms he is blind for the rest of his life. he was on methadone and morphine with an oxy kicker some time fyntinal just to stop his pain after about 4 months on all of that he wanted off why becouse it made his life hell

he used to bring down pictures of his two twin daughters and say arn't they the prettiest things you have ever seen think about that at this point he had never seen picture nor would he ever see his daughters faces but it was the pain meds that was making his life hell not what happened and not what his life was going to be but what the pain meds were doing to him. know is your life worth living without the pain meds yes it is will make you stronger yes it will. Yes he got off of them and is living a better life today and he is loving life and loving his two little girls and his wife.

You dont have to do the pain like that,,great motivator to never do it again ,,but if you were on this **** for more than a month or 2 you are going to be hurtin for days,,go to a Dr..Get klonipen for blood pressure,,get some xanax,,about 8 of them,take 1 a nite to help sleep over the next 10 days,,lots of massage,,hot baths,,sex,,juice tv,,walking,,,, and talk with everyone here,,dont drink,,it will suck but you will be ok,,if you have been doing this for yrs,,get a medical detox with suboxne and taper on 60 day program,,do not do methadone

keep posting. settle down. breathe.....breathe...this is all easier said than done we know...try not to freak out the kids..breathe. Take a moment and settle down. the more you post the busier your hands and mind are. we will be here. do you have any of the meds *nyquil or tylenol p.m. meletonin* my friends asked about? take that shower or hot bath, then take it again..the next thing you know you're on hour 48 ooopppsss look at that you already made it that far!!!! Seee...
Keep posting...breathe...settle...we're not going anywhere,

It is good that you told her, and she said she is there and not going anywhere, take that for what it's worth...which a LOT!!!
I understand you being down in the dumps, but you need to try to look at the positive outcome of what you are doing. That helps give you the strength to keep pushing forward. I will keep you in my prayers.

i took some melatonin and i put on a movie...it helps a little...i cry everytime i read a response from you guys...i dont feel so alone.  my wife is downstairs studying because she is a full time student, and i cant believe that she is having to deal with an addict in her home.  i have let her down so much.  i came out and told her today that i was an addict and that i was going cold turkey, thats why i wasnt my normal self today.  she says she doesnt know me...but she is not going anywhere...she said she will be here...that means alot, but i cant help but wonder if i lost her today.  everything is beginning to hurt so bad...from my neck to my legs...even my fingers...im praying so hard...i just keep praying...
