im hurting so bad right now on 45 hours of detox....i feel like im dying...i feel like im losing everything...i need help

All I can offer are my thoughts and prayers for you...if you were close by i would say "come on over"   what was your DOC?  45 days, you should be feeling better very soon...keep your chin up and just remember the alternative is worse...using...there will never be enough pills for me...and one is even too many like toxic always says...if u ever went back, your tolerence would still be there and you would be right back where u were 45 days ago or worse....what are you trying to help with detox pains?

its been hours, not days...right now im at the point where dying cant be worse than this...im ashamed, i feel like im letting my wife and kids down, and my whole family...all i can do is squirm around...i cant stay still...and then i start crying and vomiting and i cant stop...i hate this...i dont know what to do

sorry ya are hurtin, and the posts above me know more about wut your going thru... but i want to say that you are almost 3 days thru, and soon it will start to ease, and ya will finally start to see the light down at the end of that long dark tunnel! keep ya chin up, and stay focused on the end goal...

You can do it, I know you can. I was out of my mind 2 weeks ago when I quit the evil pills after 2 years and if I can do it you can too. Things that helped me were a hot shower or bath, anti-diarrheal meds, a walk with my husband out of the house ( I know that that is the last thing you want to do but I promise it helped even if it were only for like 10 min). I did call off work for a few days with the flu and used some vacation days for the bad w/d. I think it was almost five days before my body stopped hurting but I still have diarrhea and I only started eating normally 3 days ago. It will get better. I kept telling myself that if I went back that I would only have to do the w/d all over again and that I was going to have much more money in the bank. Just continue to try to keep your mind occupied and a heating pack helped too. Please hang in there! I promise you can do it.

Just hang in there it is very rough the first few days or so. It depends I gues on what how much and how long you used. Keep posting and reading of course.

What are you detoxing from, and how much were you taking????  The first 72 hours are supposed to be the worst.  Please let us know so we can offer more info. and support.

One day at a time is something that I say to myself all the time, trust me in a few days you should see some relief, I,ve been their before a few times to many myself, I know its not fun, but you will get thru this. Take Care Penelope

you will feel like youare going to die and loose your mind but i promise you you wont take a hot bath or shower it will help can you have your wife go to the store and get you some anti nausea meds? they will help with the vomiting. you can do this  what were you taking and how much

i feel so alone right now...nothing helps...i cant sit still...i want to bash my head into a wall and knock myself out...anything is better than this anything is...i cant make it through the night...i dont have any pills or drugs at all anymore, so there is nothing for me to take...but i dont know how to survive the night...i cant do this

you dont have anything to help with anxiety?  I guess you dont.....can you run to the drugstore or do you have someone who can go get melatonin or tylenl pm for you?  turn your temp really cold in your house and bundle up...it will lower your metabolism and help u sleep...take a long bat/hot and read or watch a movie...something to relax you would be great

Poor thing, that is some rough stuff you were taking.  It may be a few more days before you start to feel better.  You've made it just about two days...your half way there.  i swear relief is on the way......I know that's no comfort now, but please try to hang in there....make sure you stay hydrated most importantly.  Im sure your probably not doing too well in the eating dept. but if you can try to hold down anything.....even ensure, or boost drinks.....anything.  I wish I could do or say something to make you feel better...please just try to hang on.......:-/

david, you are not a bad person, you are just an addict that wants to get clean, just like the rest of us here! Im not far from goin to bed, and i will put you in my prayers tonite! hold on, and start really fighting! all you are feeling is temporary, it will pass, and you will be better for it. start a wordpad , type all that you are feeling , everything!! use it the next couple days, months, and years to remember why you dont want to use! maybe put all the things you will have when your clean, like self respect....   keep ya chin up, this is a hard fight, but you CAN do this, cant ya?!?
