You definitely aren't the first person on Suboxone that has had a false positive for oxycodone! Theoretically, Suboxone should definitely not cause a positive for oxycodone on a panel test... so there is no official recognition that this is possible.
Chemically, Suboxone contains two opiates that chemically differ from most of the other opiates as being semi-synthetically derived from thebaine (a minor chemical constituent of opium). Oxycodone is the only other opiate that is also semi-synthetically derived from thebaine. Which would be my guess as to why we keep seeing false positives for it on those panel tests...
I hear that those test can test pos for opiates even from poppy seeds. They also have a way to diferentuate between the poppy seed pos compared to the pain killer pos.
Most test for narcotics in general...not like for each specific drug...if you know the type of drug screen they will give you...12 panel shows sub but you have a script for that i would think so that would be ok... if it tests positive for narcotics then i would ask for a blood test....
you can probably find out the answer to this by googling. although i dont know for sure, i am thinking that maybe the sub. is what is causing you to be positive for oxy. but that is just a guess. good luck
