Welcome to board!!
I sent you a message. I handled unemployment claims for many years and I wanted to make sure you understood a little more about unemployment benefits in case you were seriously considering quitting your job.
Welcome!!! I could agree more with reallyneedhelp!! I am on day 4 and stayed home the first 2 days too. Ugh what a mistake! went to work yesterday and I HAD to fake it!! Don't get me wrong it must have been hell on earth but I was busy and before I knew it I had that many hours of clean time under my belt!! Day 4 and fighting!! Good Luck! There is an awesome support system here for you!
Hey! just saw ur post and wanted to let you know that i was in your shoes 71 days ago. I was totally addicted 30-40 a day and no one knew. I quit cold turkey with only the first two days off work and to be honest with you the days i had to work were ALOT better than the first two because my mind was occupied with work and not thinking about how i felt. You can totally do this. i tell people on here that you get what you put into to detox and that its 20% physical 80% mental. do not let work discourage you from quitting because if you want it bad enough you'll be able to do it. admitting your an addict is a HUGE step because hey who wants to admit that right? lol so now that you have and you found this site take the plunge! we're all here to help, hope to hear from you!
Realistically they will need more than one week to stabilize themselves (though this time frame is different for everyone) How much do you take? How long have you been on the pills? Is your work physically and/or mentally demanding?
Can you get a week off? Wds mimic the flu and nobody wants to catch the flu so maybe your bosses would be ok letting you off a week to recover from your "flu"? The acute stuff should be mostly over by a week. Then you'd want to get yourself into aftercare to stay clean. Just a suggestion. Good luck!!
