So you know she wasn't agreeing with the "cool part" huh?....lol
I also agree....you have to want it more than anything and set up a plan in order to get there and stay there. You have to cut off suppliers, doctors, and pharmacies. I know if there was a refill waiting for me in a week or two I would be counting the days! That's just part of the plan. Aftercare is huge as it can be easily overlooked once clean thinking you won't go back to them. We are very vulnerable at that stage if we don't have some sort of aftercare in place. There are many steps that need to be on your plan of attack and those are just a few. Want it and know that you can make it!

When you really want to get clean you will move heaven and earth to get there.  We all have the capabilities to do this.  Then it is aftercare, aftercare AFTERCARE.        sara

i detoxed off a 15 -20 tab 10s a day cold turkey, no blockers, subs, blood pressure meds, nothing, I am not saying this cause i think im cool (which i kinda do but thats still not why i am sayin it! ) but more so to say YOU CAN DO IT! you have to want it more than you want the pills. Aftercare is a MUST IMO...You are only going to feel bad for a few days and than its over, thats when you need a good aftercare program.

OH..u r 4 days in//or more?  opiate blockers like sub are out there//but are addictive and no picnic to wd from...naltrexone implants mentioned above are out there...not in this area as i am in the deep south...try ur best not to go on a maintence drug like sub or methadone..if u can...as u r only trading problems in the long run if ur goal is to be pill fee///chronic pain and addiction should not be dumped on people as I am also a chronic pain patient///pain almost daily and count the good days and feel blessed...not every one develops an addiction and can control their intake..and then there r those who can not/but we r actually in the minority as far as mental addiction goes..physicl addiction only is not as hard to stop....at ur dose i would imagine u r also mentally addicted as well

in the  long run i had to choose btw the pain addiction caused me emotionally///and my true physical pain///it is a choice a chronic pain patient who is also afflicted with a tendency toward addiction has to eventually deal with///and we r all different//as out choices are our own//and what we need//only thing is we need to educate ourselves on what we r doing and whaere we r going..good luck to u

I agree with above poster..when u r sick and tired of being sick and tired..u will let the pills go..how u decide to do it is up to u/a person knows when this stuff just aint no fun anymore//the soul will speak up//when u r sick and tired//u feel it//u feel it in ur soul//u feel it in ur bones

15-20 pills a day of hydro is considerable,,the tylenol intake is toxic at this dose...have u tried aftercare?  ur dose is tough CT but do-able..if u r still 4 days in then u r close to being over the hump/if not already over the hump..if it were me i would not turn back now

U need huge CONGRATS on staying clean from that dose for even 4 days!  u r moving forward...only thing is anyone who takes that much a day is also mentally addicted as a rule/an addict/like us...not a dirty word//but sumpin to be aware of..u can not use substances resposibly again///so do not try/this crud dont get no better//only worse..u can crawl out of ur hole and c the light/ but if u use u will go back into that dark hole//only deeper with each relapse//u gotta know this disease does not go away/u can control it and keep it in remission..but it can flare up at the first sign of stress or even without any stress..it is deadly..the pills r not ur friend

The health pages r full of info...number one rule on this forum is to MOVE!  produce endorphins and help ur brain heal which can take up to 90 days,..if u r not doing counseling or meetings for aftercare/then that needs to be included in ur plan to STAY clean/getting clean in reality is the easy part//STAYING clean is f-ing tough

stay with us///and keep posting

Hi Wantlife - welcome to the forum.  There is an option available.  There are some addiction specialist who are using Naltrexone Implants on patients after they complete a detox.  Naltrexone is an opiate blocker, it can also be taken in pill form, but the implant is better because you can over ride the pill by simply not taking it.  I went through an opiate detox in June and had the implant, it last about 6-8 weeks.  It is implanted into the belly fat through a small incision.  While I had this implant, if I was to take an opiate drug, it would have done nothing.  The Naltrexone fills the opiate receptors on the brain and binds much stronger than an opiate. So, if you take any, it cannot fill the receptor - no buzz.  Naltrexone can help keep you clean because there is no incentive to use.  Send me a message if you want more information on this.  Where are you located?

You mentioned that you GET 1 to 2 months (I assume clean) then you go back because of the mind games?  Have you considered some sort of AFTERCARE program in your recovery process?  I strongly recommend that you do... as you seem to be able to get clean but not STAY clean... Aftercare is your answer as we all need a 'crutch' to 'LEAN ON"

I am a 'recoverying' Norco Addict  (was taking 8-10 a day x's 3 years) and if I didn't have an aftercare program in place I KNOW I wouldn't be at 77 days clean...

Take care and keep posting as this site is a good CARE program.. but not considered an "aftercare" program...
