They say its not addictive because it doesn't give you the same high. However, because it is a synthetic opiod and due to its chemical make-up, it works as a sort of anti-depressant, increasing the amount of seratonin in your brain. So when your tolerance has built up and you have to wean off of them, not only are you fighting the opiate withdrawl, but also your seratonin levels will be even more depleted and nonrenewing.
Have you ever talked to your doctor about anti-depressants? Just a thought. Hang in there, maybe (if you haven't already) try to make a meeting or two and see if that helps. We'll be here! Good luck.
Hi ! Like tramahater writes. I was in solid W/D for 4weeks it was terrible and just like your Doctor told you mine said the same thing not addicting (yea right). F1
Please don't take the tramadol. It is a horrible drug to try to stop. It does not give a high like vicodin, but it is very addictive! VERY addictive and takes a long time to get back to normal after taking over a period of time. Your doctor is negligent by telling you that it isn't addictive!
you seem to know that they are bad for addicts yes they are VERY addictive and they are Hel l to come off of .I would not fill that script its a synthetic opiate there are so many that have suffered because of this drug . What recovery care are you getting BTW if you use alcohol you are really a risk of seizures it you take tramadol
Hi~Hang on.There are quite a few members with much experience with this drug. But,yes it is addicting. There is also a tramadol/ultram forum to the right in blue printing. Click on that.
Take care~
