quiting addictions

i plan on quiting the following and i am the type of person that has to go cold turkey.any suggestions to help get through it and if i quit all at once can it be dangerous smoking 2-3 pks a day =mountain dew 12pk a day effexor 150 mg 1 per day= and pain killers 6 or more a day. is really no reasone to get into how i got to this point but my depression is getting bad and im tired of all of it please give advice and yes i really feel i can do this  just trying to prevent and harmful issues and minimize side effect as much as possible thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum.   What an ambitious undertaking.   I would certainly recommend that you not go C.T. off the Effexor -  that could throw you into even worst depression.   The other stuff you may be able to get through.  I really admire that you think you can quit cigerettes and pain pills at the same time.  If you are only taking 6 a day, the W/D should not be very long or too bad - but you will know you have been in a fight.   The single greatest thing is something I think you have --  determination.  And it will take all of it to be successful.  I hope you will continue to post on this site -- it can be a real help to you and to others.  All the best.
