Another question about withdrawal

Hello to all!  I had been taking oxycodone AND hydrocodone for about a month for back pain.  I have also been taking the oxy off and on for about six months.  I have gone cold turkey with all of the drugs and I am about 30 hours into the withdrawal process.  The pain and sleeplessness are the worst aspects.  How long does this take?  How much of this hell can I look forward to?  The one positive I can see coming out of this is that I will be able to better relate to and understand what other addicts have gone through.  My doses of the drugs were low.

I feel like I am slowly getting better.  I saw some other folks in other posts talking about a ‘Thomas Treatment’, or something like that – anyway, I looked that up and I have been taking loads of potassium and vitamin B and it really helps the symptoms, or at least the worst of them.  Thank you so much for input!  The more people I hear from about their experiences, the better I feel about the progress I have made!  Thank you all again, and God Bless!

Welcome! I'm new here just joined today! I took my last 4 lortabs (10mg)  Thursday night. It's been a struggle I hate the restless legs at night time and the emotional unstable feelings during the days. I was on these things for about a year so I think you'll have an easier withdrawal then I'm having, but then again everyone is different. It sounds sucky but getting outside and taking short walks actually help I took one this afternoon and one tonight and I feel better. You should be done within a few days (from what I've heard) My withdrawals are getting better just so you know the first 1-4 days are the worst. Just hang in there! Don't give up I've wanted to give up a lot but this forum helps a lot. And hot baths help the muscles feel less tense also drinking lots of water helps it flush out your system and makes your body feel better.
