I took soma for years, every night for sleep.  I changed Dr. and just stopped.  I had ZERO wd's. Absolutly nothing.  You'll be fine.

Hope this good news :-)

Yes it is good news I don't want to take them anymore They make me feel just bad, then again I continue to take them I used to abuse lortabs and I'm on suboxone now 4mg a day so I hope this is not going to be bad.

I've taken soma off and on for a couple of years, for sleep.  How often is "round the clock."  I couldn't understand why it's listed as a controlled substance (i.e., you can't get a prescription filled ahead of time), as it's pretty mild.  Here is a quote I dug up:

http://www.drugs.com/soma.html

This medication may be habit-forming and should be used only by the person it was prescribed for. Soma should never be given to another person, especially someone who has a history of drug abuse or addiction. Keep the medication in a secure place where others cannot get to it. You may have withdrawal symptoms when you stop using Soma after using it over a long period of time. Do not stop using Soma suddenly without first talking to your doctor. You may need to use less and less before you stop the medication completely. Soma can cause side effects that may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be awake and alert. Avoid drinking alcohol. It can increase drowsiness and dizziness caused by Soma.

a long term use of somas at a high dose does need to be tapered like benzos....2 mths is not along time nor did u state ur dose..if it was high..i would back off a bit before ct...and be safe

I have been taking soma for about 2 months. I worked my way to taking about 7 at a time twice a day and just ran out. I have no one to look after me and have no money or insurance to detox.
Will I be ok? I'm very scared.

2 months is not a long time...do u have a prior addiction history?

14 soma a day is  a high dose...but 2 mths is a short time..it is jut hard to say as we r all different..I would see a dr if i felt anything strange..seizures can result from stopping trams, benzodiazepines or soma if stopped abruptly after heavy use..but the factor on ur side is only 2 mths of use

r u feeling any wd pains?  If not then that is a good sign...safest thing ti do would be to get in to see a DR and be sure all is well

u may need to also take a look at some type of aftercare..do u have any refills?

Thanks so much for your reply. Over the past year I had an addiction to Tramadol. I was able to go to the local clinic and get put on Suboxene for a little over 21 days. I decided to order Soma online to help with the suboxene withdrawals and just started over taking them. I'm having withdrawal symptoms, but I believe it's from the suboxene.
I don't have insurance or the money to see a dr. and I'd rather not go back to the clinic. All they will do is put me back on suboxene, which I'd rather stay away from.
I go in for a cervical biopsy tomorrow (which is free at planned parenthood) and am scared to death of being in withdrawal and pain while I'm going to be going through more pain with the biopsy.

What sort of aftercare are you speaking of, like na meetings or dr. aftercare?
I don't have any refills to the soma's right now. I do a a refill for the tramadol, do you think if I take a little for the next few days and then flush the rest it might help?

Thanks so much.
