someone HELP!!!!

I am addicted to Norco taking app 50 a day. I want so badly to get off. I have a 3 year old little girl and my primary focus is to make sure she is in the best of care. My world revolves around her. She is my pride and joy. So, here is the question: How the hell can I ease these damn withdrawals? I am taking darvocet n 100 daily as prescribed to help, and librium for the anxiety. Any suggestions? How long will the urges continue?

how long has it been since you took your last norco? generally the worst of the physical WD's last 3-5 days. Get yourself some Immodium for diarrhea, an OTC pain reliever such as Advil/Motrin or whichever one you prefer. Some people use sleep aids to help with the insomnia and RLS, but you are on librium and Im sure theres serious drug interactions there so I would steer away from those. Are you sure librium is used for anxiety? Your Dr  RX'd you that drug, and for that? I thought it was a major anti-psychotic medication but Im not positive. (or am i thinking of lithium?? maybe) Anyhow, always check with your pharmacist before mixing any meds like that. Take lots of hot baths and use a heating pad too for the aches/pains/chills. And just ride it out. Its no fun, for sure, but you can do it. THeres hundreds of us here on this forum alone that have done it. Its not easy but you can do it if youre really determined. Keep using your little girl for motivation. Read and post here as much as possible!

PS how long are you planning on taking the darvocet? Its kinda counterproductive to take it. Given it is "only" a synthetic opoid and nothing compared to hydrocodone, but it still will also give you WD's when you quit it as well.

50 mgs is not huge in the spectrum of the users here on the forum..but an addiction is huge to the person experiencing it...u r smart to stop now

Darvocet is a weak narcotic..not really worth the 650 mgs of tylenol per pill///sometimes treasing ur body by continuing to feed it a narcotic can make things worse...and darvocet is a narcotic...letting go is hard but do-qable..getting rid of any narcs in ur reach is imortant..using darvocet would be better than getting on sub for a 50 mg habit....just watch ur tyleonl and be sure u let the darvs go soon...flush the rest

Librium is a weaker benzo//but addicting just the same...knowing this and being safe is always the best route to go....but making it thru this...and being sure u do not become addicted to sumpin else in the process of stopping ur doc is important as well

I was at 100 mgs of hydro....3-4 days and my PHYSICAL wd was over...do not let fear paralyze u..u can do this!

Hello guys, I am here again giving it a shot. When i said 50 a day I meant 50 pills a day of 10/325. That is a LOT!!!!!!!!

I am on a 7 day detox which I will do under the supervision of my doctor and then, I guess I will be attending a whole lot of NA meetings. =)

Please someone give me some advice to help with the urges? All the meds I listed earlier: Darvocet N 100, and Librium were prescribed by my doctor to help ease the withdrawal process. I will slowly cut the meds down as prescribed.

This *****!!! All I can think about is where can I get another pill. It's so awful.

Well, going to get my angel from school. HUGS!!!
