I would get ome saline solution and flush with it a few times a day and don't snort anymore. I think the doc will more likely be looking for signs that you are still snorting. (Looking for visible residue) so if you stop snorting right away you will be ok next week. If he does ask you just tell him you used to snort but don't anymore. He would have a hard time proving you do over a crease. But stop all snorting now, snorting is addictive behaviour and if you really want to work your program properly (Plus, snorting means you only get a small percentage of the meds. When you take it orally like you should you get almost ALL the meds so really it makes more sense to do it right) By snorting you are getting far less then you should be and that might screw up how well suboxone work to take your cravings for opiates away.
please i need help i am also in the program and i am guilty of snorting my meds after only being in my program for a month if that long i have almost stoped now i was snorting every day 3 or 4 times a day to in the past months to snorting every few days 1 and day and i just found out that my doc is doing something new he will be calling me in within the next week and he will be checking to see if i have been shoting the med which i have not ever done and he will also be sticking a light up my nose to see if i have be snorting the meds and even if your nose is clean they have said that there is this crease that forms on the inside of your nose of regular snorting and they say they can tell if its been recently because it starts to heal after you stop can anyone please tell me how long it takes to heal and if anything will make it heal it faster please help me if i get kicked out of this program then i dont now what i will do probley relapes and i dont want that this has saved my life and i dont snort it to get high or to feel it faster but i missed the drain so badly but i have almost weaned my self off but please help me how to heal the crease on the inside of my nose how long will it take and is there anything to make it faster thanks to everyone
I smoked pot for quite a while during the first couple of years of sub treatment. Osiris is right, the doc will recommend that you don't, but pot is not an opiate and will not violate the contract that most docs make you sign. My doc did regular drug testing for each visit and I asked to see the tests, I came up positive until I decided it was time to give that up too. While abstaining from everything is the best policy, a doc cannot deny sub treatment - at least that I know of anyway - for smoking pot.
I am in sub treatment right now. I smoke marijuana. I asked my doctor about smoking and he said that I will not get in trouble for it they just recomend you not smoking just for the sake of not relapsing.
You will not get into trouble for telling the doctor where you got the pills. In fact mine didn't even ask where I just divulged the information. I signed a form that said all my information was confidential and that nothing would be turned over to the police. I assume this is because a lot of people have that worry. Sub doctors would be out of business if they turned their clients in, and no one would ever seek help if that was the case.
They do drug test you, and they do look for marijuanna too. It won't make a difference in getting treatment. It will however make a difference if they keep finding it on your consecutive drug tests, they will most likely drop you as a patient if you continue to abuse drugs since you are supposed to be getting sober.
Hope this helps, good luck and God Bless!

I'm sure most people that go to a sub doctor have bought pills off the street. I'm sure they have heard it all so I wouldn't worry about it. There is the HIPAA Privacy Act which keeps your medical records from being released without your approval. And to be honest, there is no need to even tell the sub doctor that you were buying pills off the street. Just tell him you have a pill addiction.
As for the weed, I'm not sure about that. I'm sure someone that has or is on sub can give you much more info on all of this. I wouldn't worry about it though. Just tell him what you feel comfortable telling him. They are there to help you, not get you arrested.
Also, stick around this forum. You will get so much support and advice while you battle your addiction. You will meet some great people that will bend over backwards to help you.
Best of luck to you. Let us know how your appointment goes.
