today is day six off tramadol!!

Feeling better every day. A little sluggish, here and there but getting better. The mental part truly is the hardest. That voice telling me I can't carry on without the little pills. But talking back to the voice is helping. Not a success story yet, but I know this time there's no going back. My Dr is on board and helping me through. There will never be another prescription.

You can do this!!! Stay Strong!!!! I am on day 21 and I could not feel better:) I mean, I still lack sleep, get really crabby, and crave them, but my body is already starting to feel "clean". The thing that I thought helped is to not fight it when you can't sleep. If you get frustrated, you will just lay there and be mad. I would always get up and take a hot bath, even if it was 3 am. I take Cal/Mag/Zinc, B50, L-tyrosine, and a multi. I am not sure if any of them work, but I do feel good, so maybe they do. Good luck to you!!

HANG IN THERE! Sounds like your doing fine and I can understand where your at.  I went of Oxy (after 12 yrs +) for Fibromyalgia and decided enough was enough...that was Oct 12th. Now...NO CRAVINGS, or desires. I have pain anyway and did when medicated, but the rest of the up + down nonsense of medication addiction has weaned away like the wind. BE STRONG!

Congratulations on day 6! I agree with charetti everyday will get better and that voice will die down but always keep your guard up. That is great the your doc is on board and that you cut your sources. Keep up the good hard work:)

That is awesome that you made it this far!!  I have heard that same little voice, and I assure you it will decline with time.  I am going hours without even thinking of a pill now.  Waiting for the day that I go a whole day.  That will be lovely.

Its just like ending a relationship.  Your life has changed in so many ways, the constant friend that calmed us is gone.  Of course its not really a friend, we know that now.

So give yourself time.  Take care of yourself and be patient. This too shall pass!
