Going to my 1st Meeting. Do I Have to Tell Them

Hey Yall,
I am going to my first  AA NA meeting tonight at 7:00pm.  I want to do my Recovery right this time,  but I'm just not sure if I should tell anyone that I am on Subutex.  I know that the last 10 years I have kept my methadone addicition a BIG SECRET,  but untill recently I wasnt really serious about recovery.
I just want to do everything in my power to live a sober life. I only plan to be on the Subutex for a very short amount of time.  Should I even be going to meetings yet  ??    Does it make me a liar to not tell them about the Subutex  ??
I have been struggling with this all day .  Thanks yall      AJ

You don't have to reveal that your on subs. Awesome that your going to a meeting, I've been to two so far and the ppl there made me feel very welcome and I got a bunch of phone numbers to call when I feel like I need someone to talk to. I'm going to check out a few different meetings to find which one I like the most that will become my home group. Hats off to you for taking this very important step in your recovery. Aftercare is essential to staying clean. I found that out the hard way...

Go to the meeting. They are for people that have the desire to quit. I wouldn't mention the Subutex in the meeting. Some people at meetings are weird about those things...so just avoid the issue to avoid confrontation. If you seek a sponsor, you can discuss it with them.
