Day 1 again

Well, I had so much fun on day 1 of cold turkey from hydro/oxycodone I thought I would do it again.  I had stopped last Sunday but I had a few pills left that I thought would be no big deal.  I was wrong. So here I am starting all over again.  I know this is probably not unusual, and I guess it was a good learning experience.  I think I am a little less naive about the hold that these pills have over me.  I cannot be anywhere around them right now.  Maybe some point down the road, say 20 or 30 years, but right now I need to stay as far away from them as I can.   I am so thankful for this forum.  I read all the posts every day and they really give me hope and support.

I cant imagine repeating what i just went through over the past 5 days. This is my first time getting off norco in 2 years. It sucks! I called into work with the flu... The thing that has helped me is soaking in the hottest bath you can stand for a half hour 2-3 times a day. that is the only thing that seems to relax me. I think I have slept a total of 7 hours in the past 5 days, but mentally this site is helping and am feeling less likely to go to urgent care for some pills. Good luck and hope you make it to day 2,3,4,.....

Hey Man, I`m the same way about staying away totally! Thats why the "cold turkey" worked so well for me. Just stay away  Far Far away. Welcome back if you need to talk .....

burn the bridges it sounds you are ready to leave all of this in the past. Lets do it stay around as much as you can. Mike

Glad to have your back. sounds like you learned more from that than anything we can share.  Stick around. Would enjoy hearing more about your experience of being clean. Specifically, when the times are tough and when they are really good.
