weening off methadone...

i was on 10mg perks for 1 yr..10mgs  6 aday  from pain m.  then the put me on a high dose of methadone topped at 120 mgs aday..when the waffers were there..was on that dose for 2 1/2 yrs..then weened down to 20 mgs in not that long of time..then went cold turkey..then after 14 days of sweating and not able to sleep was off of it..but only for 2 weeks..then went back to my appt..they put me back on a much lower dose of 15mgs aday..been on that dose for 1 yr..last sunday i dropped 5mgs of the 15mgs..i cant belive how bad i feel just from 5MGS!!  + i had the tummy virus for 4 days..the withdraws was mostly I CANT SLEEP BUT ONLY 3 1/2 HRS A NIGHT..THIS IS MY 6TH DAY..MY ONLY  THING NOW IS STILL NOT ABLE TO SLEEP THAT MUCH..LAST NIGHT I  WAS INRRUPTED WILE ASLEEP TWICE FROM MY YOUNGER BROTHER...THEN I JUSED SRAYED UP..DONT WANT TO NAP ANY DURING THE DAY..JUST WANT TO GET 1 GOOD NIGHT INN..ONCE IM ABLE TO DO THIS I,LL BE ABLE TO START RESTING....I WANT TO COME DOWN TO 5MGS AND JUST STAY AT THAT..THE PAIN ISINT SERVRE THAT I EVER NEEDED THAT MUCH OF A MED THAT MESSES ME UP....SO HOW DO *** DOWN TO 5 MGS WITHOUT FEELING SO BAD????????? E.R. DOCKTER TOLD ME I NEED TO COME DOWN SLOWLY ON THIS..HOW LOW IS LOWER THAN 5 MGS?? ANYTHING I DROP IM GOING TO FEEL IT!!  PLEASE  HELP ME TODAY!!   WHAT ARE MY OPSHIONS??????????             THANKS ALL YOU JAMES

you need to switch to the liquid form they can drop you down by 1mg at a time, much easier. i was on 120mgs for 3 yrs and another 1 1/2 to drop down till i got to 2 mgs.

hello i am on methadone and have been for almost yr thats all i take is methadone i take 80mg a day and from taking to lots of others i have heard that you have to ween very slowly like 10mg then next day 9mg and so on that will take some hurt out are you on pills or liquid?
