My worst symtoms were & are anxiety! Also the lack of energy is frustrating, I like getting out & doing things, but lately since detoxing this has come to a hault, the sweats are not fun either, mine are not night sweats they are anxiety sweats like nervous sweating, which I think may be worse! But keep in mind that all these things do get better as time goes by, so have patience & keep focused on your goal.
when you get the melatonin get some passion flower, skull cap, and valerian root as well. It will knock you out for the most part and not groggy. Passion flower is for stress and anxiety and used to treat opiate withdrawal, same with skull cap. Valerian root can be used low dose during day for relaxation as well. Good luck...oh and calcium/mag supps calmed my legs and my sleep greatly.
rls and anxiety, although no more rls really at night (on day 9) but the anxiety is crippling for me right now. I think its getting better today but im afraid to jinx myself. How long did it take for you guys?
Hard to say - they all sucked :-) The RLS and anxiety was bad, but I guess I would have to say the worst was the depression. I've always suffered from depression (Been on zoloft since 1999). The lortabs helped me with depression during some really hard times in my life and I think that's why I got hooked.
Depression is my final answer.... :-)
Mine was RLS...I used clonodine, and it was a life savior...Second i think would be energy.....
and sleep...
good luck

mine was by far the no sleep. i didnt get any really good sleep til at about a month i went to gnc and asked the lady the best thing for sleep and she told me sleep formula..thats the name. it has several all naturla sleep aids and it worked great
the worst was at night time, when I would get the anxiety feeling, my body screaming for it. During the day, it wasnt so bad as long as I kept myself distracted. Today is my first day without Vicodin, going cold turkey. Nervouse about going to sleep, but Im gonna just ride it out.
RLS and the horrible feeling of jumping out of my skin. gosh i can almost feel it if i think about it hard enough...yuck...i still remember it was IMPOSSIBLE to get comfortable.....they say nothing is impossible but it truly was....
Charcoal does not absorb anything, it adsorbs. Meaning, it sticks to substances and it carries them out of your body. This does not work at all if the subject in question is not in your stomach region.
For me it was the runs and being fatigued... sleep was not affected and slept alot during detox...i found that my best antidote was exercise and that is when i would feel normal for a bit ..EmergenC also i think helped me as well and all the vitamins in the recipes...good luck and getting prepared is smart
for me it was the RLS and cofusiion and dizzyness and nervious big time but the confussion bothered me the most not being able to walk good errrrr
good luck hon, you can do it always remember the w/d will end :)
bobby

worst for me was laying in bed for 6 hours trying to fall asleep and every 2 minutes my legs would just randomly jerk. there is some OTC med called hylands restful legs that is sold at CVS that did help me at nighttime. around day 4 an OTC sleep aid called maximu strength unisom(get the liquid gels) alond with the restufl legs stuff really did the trick for me and i got about 8 hours of sleep on that
Lack of sleep and anxiety were worst for me as well. It really helped listening to tapes and trying to relax rather than let myself get frustrated. Even a couple of hours sleep with 4 hrs. relaxed rest was bearable. Once I let myself get frustrated and tried to fight being awake and that was unbearable. At 21 days I started to wake up feeling rested. You can get Melatonin at GNC
GNC see if they have the sublingual
where can i get the melatonin?
For me it was definitely the anxiety and sleep.I learned alot about working through the anxiety, occupying my mind with other things. For the sleep I tried all the otc sleepaides but none worked so I bought the melatonin .The first 2 nights I took it it really didn't help much, but now when I'm feeling wired at bed time I take 10 mgs of it and I get some really restful sleep.
does charcoal help with the w/d's
It helped me with both for the aches and it calmed my legs ALOT
I would imagine the elec. blanket for body aches and chills. I personally used a heating pad and moved it around but I would have LOVED to have had an electric blanket. The ace bandage, I just started at my ankles and wrapped snug(not too tight) up to my knees. It's something with the pressure that helps with the rls.
mine is percocetes,,, i find that as i am tappering until Friday that I am sweating more. i can't wait until Friday cuz thats the day i go cold turkey,,,please pray for me....thanks for everyones help
Try using charcoal to absorb the toxins. You can purchase the tablets on the shelf at Wal Greens. Charcoal tabs. If you overdosed, the hospital would give you charcoal to absorb as well.
what was the blanket for? the RLS or chills and how does the ace bandage work?
