Cant get away from oxy

I was in rehab in September for Loratabs. Now its July and ive relapsed like never before...doing 5-6 30mg roxys/oxys a day. Im so scared to deal with the withdrawals. Ive heard Suboxone helps but, I dont have health insurance. Nobody really knows what im going through and ive never felt so depressed or alone in my life. I just want to be over this and live a normal life. I work to pay for drugs and hardly make rent each month. Im scared...please give me advice. I dont have time to do back to rehab or take time off to stay in bed and withdraw. What do I do??? Please HELP ;o(

For starters, you can change this thread title from:

"Can't get away from oxys"

to

"I can get away from oxys"

The way we think has much more of an impact on our choices than we think.

I think you have to really decide that you're done with the drugs. When you are done, you know you are done. You know that they are going to kill you one way or another.

I'm on Day 18 of a Cold Turkey at home detox; Tramadol, Vicodin, there was some codeine, darvoset, some morphine!!! And other stuff. And the main problem was The Tramadol in the end.

It became a problem because it was killing me and I knew it.

I've been really sick from withdrawal and had thoughts like, "Well, at least I'm clean."

If you can start to taper, that would be good. Make that plan to get really sick wit the flu .... work a weekend in there. You could do the Thomas Detox and get really prepared before you go into it. You can do it. Alot of people here are doing at home detox because we don't have money or time off work. S, it can be done.

Understand also that the DRUGS themselves are evil. They make you feel alone and sad and withdrawn and like you are horrid. That is the drug talking. Not authentic to who you truly are.

I hope this helps. I am on Day 18 Cold Turkey. I was so lucky because the 4th of July weekend has helped enormously. I was really able to rest and pain is pain. If you get in the right mind set and get your supplies ready, you can do it at home.

We'll be here for you!

Love and healing,
Emily

How long have u been using again?  it may not be as bad as u think if it has only been for a short time....lots of drugs to help with wd like clonidine, valium, imdium etc....calling in sick for a couple of days before ur weekend or days off to extend the time off is well worth it to get clean....suboxone is expensive but can help the wds....over 300 dollars i think as a rule to get started but it depends...using it short term for 10 days or so can help bypass withdrawals but some have issues adjusting to the drug and feel bad when they start it...others do not...it is also habit forming...a taper would help too...but i would still take 4-5 days off to be safe no matter what u decide to do...getting clean is too important and sometimes the job just has to take a back seat for a few days...i had to do it and took 4 days off ...80-100 mg lortab habit for 4 years...it was not easy working for quite a while due to the fatigue but it is do-able like cathy said

Alot of people have had great success with a taper along with vitamins and other things.  As you already know, there is no "easy way" to get clean.  Suboxone can help with the detox, but I doubt you'll find a doctor that will write you a script for outpatient detox.  Not to mention that without insurance suboxone is really, really expensive.  And like cathy said, it comes with it's own issues as well.  Stay strong, and remember that you can do this no matter what!  keep posting - good luck

with out inpatient rehab most of us here have gone either cold turkey or tapered.  for me it was cold turkey and i did it while i was working.  chose thursday for the last day and friday was yucky but sat and sun sucked.  you can do this.  suboxone is a tool some use,  but it is also addictive and has a hard w/d if not tapered properly.  it is doable i was on more oxy than that.  it was not easy but i am 7 months clean now.  i snorted mine so it was not fun, but i made it and so can you.  gl
