The part of not being able to sleep is a very hard part of withdrawaling from Tramadol. I know where you are coming from. I'm not sure how long it will last for you, everyone is different. But probably 2-4 weeks before sleep starts returning to normal. Try some sleep aids. Maybe a doctor can help you with that. What makes me wonder, is you said you have not had any sleep in a week. Just two (2) hours. And you took a Tramadol 24 hours ago. You have to stop taking the Tramadol 100%, before your sleep will return to normal. Taking Tramadol will only put you back at square one all over again. You have to get off 100% and HEAL. Your sleep is not going to return to normal unless you quit Tramadol 100%, then go 2-4 weeks without it. But 7 years is a long time to be on them. Did you do a Taper down to 1 pill per day at least before you quit? Or did you just try to go Cold Turkey for a while? Going Cold Turkey really is not going to be an option for you, I may be wrong, but I doubt it. I can be of some help, but I need more information. How many Trams have you had in the last week. How many per day are you at now, if any? I have been tapering down on Tramadol myself, on 13 Sep 2008 I was taking 13 per day. Now I'm at 7 per day. So I know what you are going through. I am in the process of quitting myself. But it can take a few months to get free of Tramadol. It's not something I would recommend trying to rush.
Good luck w/ ct I have atram addiction and am tapering from 8 a day I couldn't handl;e ct and I am pg so it was not advisable for me when I had w/d I had bad anxiety, sweating, restlesssneess, severe depression and bad diarreha, no motivation felt really awful. They say this only lasts a few days I couldn't say since I only made it a few days before I found more and felt better. Let me know how it goes I'd appreciate the info.
I don't know much about tramadol. I took vics for many years. But if you keep posting here people will chime in. sometimes it gets busy here and a post is missed. If you choose to get clean this is a great place for support. Congrats on the 1 day.
