withdrawl topics

i' new to reading all this, so, my apologies but i have a few questions.
what is this protocol of this doctor, and is the tyrosine supposed to alleviate fatigue from withdrawl?
which leads me to an obvious question i suppose, but when withdrawing from opiates for example,
is there a large fatigue associated with that?  and the klonopin or xanax is used for what purpose?
many thanks for your perspectives and info.

From my experience and others words on here the worst physical withdrawl is day 1-4..  Then after that it starts to get alot better. I am willing to bet that right around a week you will be feeling 90% better! Welcome and please feel free to ask anything. I am here for you. We all are. BEST OF LUCK

I think you are reffering to the Thomas Recipe right?

He is NOT  a DR. and doesn't claim to be.  From what I know he is an addict with many years of experience(which is more than a DR. can understand)  He has came up with this formula to help others with their withdrawls.  Nothing makes it 100% better.  These are just things to help ease some of the effect your body will have detoxing.

There will be alot of fatigue!  Sleeplessness, Shaking, Tremors, Possible vomiting, RLS, Emotional uncontrol, The sh!ts REALLY BAD!,

These are just to name a few symtoms of w.d!  It is different for everyone though.  I agree with the baths ALOT!  For me it is hot showers because I am a big boy and have a little bath.  It is like dropping a boulder into a puddle of water!!!  GOOD LUCK

the fatigue is what is killing me right now, i got so much energy from the roxy's that now i feel like i weigh 1000lbs. I wish you good luck and just know you WILL feel better. Even though at times it doesnt seem like it. For me my problem was waking up in the middle of the night, therefore when i did at 230 am i took a valium and i feel asleep almost immediately. Good luck. If you can get suboxone you really should it does help, but be careful with mixing the benzos and NO alcohol, it can make you very sick

you may want to get you some immodium also it will control the bathroom breaks, and i asked a question the other day what supplements does codeiene related medication drain your body of, and i think 3-4 people had blood work and it said they were really low in iron and potassium, so eat banannas and make sure your gaba supplements have iron in em good luck day4 your bout through this keep it up

day 4
well, i have some muscle pain, aches, i think they are something i
can handle.
i'm coming from using 420 plus mgs. codeine/day.
runs are ok, i can tell it's an issue but not too bad.  i feel a bit cranky
mind you.  although, i had a friend tell me that when i took codeine i
could easilty get "bitchy" for a guy.  i also got rashes and flushing.
wow. i feel like i'm bloated like a hot air balloon, but you know, i can
see some light, and i really wanna do this, so, i have persisted so far.
i'm using not the thomas protocol, but lots of b vitamins, gaba supplements, and C, and melatonin to sleep.  (it's my area of expertise so i kinda devised an idea which i hoped would work or help)  great support here, these pills can be as one person said,
"bastards".
good luck to all in the new year, hope alot of us can win the war!

day 3,
i'm using small amounts of tylenol 1's (it's like taking nothing but
makes it easier i think and no runs), and have been off the 3's.
i feel a bit like i have the flu, not too bad though.  my sex drive is
back with a vengeance which certainly makes this worthwhile i
think, my fatigue is massive though, so i guess it doesn't matter!
:) anyway, i'm more concerned with the acetominophen.  so, i'm
hoping to slowly get rid of the 1's.  just personally, i never bought
any off the street, never got any illegally, though a few friends passed
some along a few times over the years.  i have legitimate use for
them (medical reasons), but i started taking them just for the sake
of taking them...kinda made me feel "normal".  i figured that was a
problem sign.  so, i'm hammering away at this...i really hope i can
do this, it feels pretty lousy.

This is my day one...I tried to taper and just got frustrated and jacked-up over it.  I believe it was too much time to think (**** up), and think of reasons why I needed to increase # pills so I could function without biting someone's head off or not being able to concentrate!   So, I have until January 3rd to w/d.  I have only 5 pills---vicodin--just in case.  It is 25 hours and counting.  I keep checking my pupils, hoping to see that they are dialated!  That would be my reward!

Thanks for your information (to all)

Thanks again very much, very kind.
I can do it, I'm just fighting a bad disease, and I know I feel better
not taking them, just looking forward to bad fatigue is not pleasing,
but I have to do it.

Thanks for the help on this one.
Fatigue is one thing I do not need more of, but, I guess it's gotta
be that way.
And five days is about the time it takes typically?
