Very Low Cortisol, Adrenal Insufficiency

Hi thanks very much for your help!  I have an enlarged thyroid with small nodule and low-normal thyroid levels, low testosterone.  My cortisol levels were 4.0 AM, and 2.4 in the afternoon.  My doctor wanted to wait 6 weeks for yet another test even though I had these 2 low cortisol tests already and bad exhaustion, brain fog.  Shouldn't I be treated with hydrocortisone and what treatments should I be getting?  I've been taking adrenal/thyroid glandulars and pregnenolone but still feel the same.

The decision to do FNA on thyroid nodules has to do with size.

If 10mm (1cm) or larger in any direction, than FNA is automatic with most thyroid docs.

Has the doc done an ultrasound with FNA to make sure the thyroid is ok? Are you being treated for the thyroid?

As I have said in other posts, your doctor did not test you at correct times consistently, and without a stim test, treatment should not be started.

Pregnenolone is a precursor hormone - so it can turn into many things - it may not be what you want it to be though so it may create more issues instead of solve them. You cannot test if you are taking OTC glandulars - they will throw off the testing.
