Mine isn't quite an allergy, but the symptoms are similar. It seems I may be sensitive to MSG, which triggers the MAST cells, which trigger a major histamine reaction. High doses of MSG cause sneezing, runny nose, and intense itching from neck to ankles. I also have morphea scleroderma, which is autoimmune.
Here you go...
MSG Gelatin Calcium Caseinate
Monosodium glutamate Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein (HVP) Textured Protein
Monopotassium glutamate Hydrolyzed Plant Protein (HPP) Yeast Extract
Glutamate Autolyzed Plant Protein Yeast food or nutrient
Glutamic Acid Sodium Caseinate Autolyzed Yeast
Vegetable Protein Extract Senomyx (wheat extract labeled as artificial flavor)
this is NOT all.. but many names for MSG.. shocking ehh?
Did they actually find you are allergic to MSG? We strongly suspect both my mom and sister are allergic to MSG, but i think they were told it's not an allergen they test for. I just did a quick search and found some interesting info. Thank you for the new names on packaging- i will pass it along to them!

Fibromialgia
Vitamin D deficiency

I have read that a small amount of sulfite residue lingers in corn syrup after processing. Some people are fine with corn, but not corn syrup, because of sulfite sensitivity. A great many things are made with corn syrup!
VERY interesting question...
My mother is allergic to sulfa medications. While it is supposedly an entirely different compound, she also has reactions to food products containing anything with "sulf-" One sip of a red wine has her entire face glowing from the sulfites. Preserved foods have a similar effect. Even things like frozen potatoes often have preservatives that make her glow.
This summer she started to get terrible rashes so they did skin tests for chemical compounds. They showed she's allergic to many things, including cinnamon. But her rashes did not subside despite treatment.
They are currently in the process of diagnosing her with an autoimmune disorder. She has many of the classic signs of lupus, including rashes, sores in her mouth, joint pain, leg pain, light sensitivity, fatigue etc... She also has arthritis.
What concerns me (in addition to worrying about my miserable mother) is that i have the same exact reaction to red wine. literally only 1 sip can make my face break out. I've never been on a sulfa medication and hope to avoid it, since it was that severe reaction that started all of her other problems. (and is the fact that I had preeclampsia just a coincidence? I read it occurs more frequently in people with autoimmune disorders). I am also very concerned because my 16 yr old sister often has rashes, and she reacts to similar foods my mom does. Basically, she gets hives from anything with preservatives- chips, boston market food, chinese food, frozen potato products, etc... She has been tested for food allergies and it came up negative, but she still always gets rashes. She also frequently has "growing pains" (she's 16). I have read that the younger a person is diagnosed with autoimmune disorders, the worse the symptoms get. I pray that all of this is just coincidental.
CFS diagnosis, with other issues (some of which I've already resolved, including intolerance to gluten).
I also have chemical sensitivities.
MCS and CFS/FMS
Reactive Airway Disease (asthma)
IBS
Possible Colitis
Celiac
Eczema
More food sensitivities than I can shake a stick at
A friend of mine has nearly identical problems, except for the asthma.
I am hypo ( T.T. for pap. carcinoma) with Hashimotos and allergic to shell fish, strawberries, kiwi, and laxtex.
I am hypothyroid, had ulcerative colitis until surgery 15 years ago, asthma, and they are trying to figure out what kind of arthritis I might have.
My husband has psoriasis and possibly celiac.
I suffer from
High Cholesterol
Meniere's disease
pernicious anemia
vitamin D deficiency
Graves
GED
extreme dry eye
Raynaud's
fibromyalgia
& tested positive for Lyme's disease (this was the first to show among the top ailments)
and now they want to test me for celiac, not scheduled until end of april for that, so my understanding that this is not a food allergy, per se? just thought i would put everything out there and see if any correlation?
It's not been confirmed, as I have no more money!!! But I'm pretty sure, as well as my doctors that I have Ulcerative Colitis. I also have Fibromyalgia, Narcolepsy, and Endometriosis, all which have been rumored to have autoimmune roots.
fibromyalgia and hypothyroid
The doc thinks that as I went through menopause the hypo started which kicked the allergies (esp. chemical sensitivities) into high gear.

Great question!
Once again, my daughter suffers from psoriatic arthritis and ulcerative colitis, along with her many food allergies.
My son suffers from asthma and many food allergies.
