Low iron studies

Hi.  My son's iron studies results are as follows:

Iron:  4 umol/L
Transferrin:  1.91g/L
Iron binding: 44 umol/L
Iron Saturation:  9%
Ferritin:  155 ug/L

C Reactive Protein:  44.5mg/L

We are waiting to see a specialist.  He has been suffering of epigastic pain, gastro-oesophageal reflux, iron deficiency, hyperacidity, for the past 4-5 years.  Symptoms getting worse last 3 months and those test results were from 16 Sept.  He has been on iron meds and losec for 2 years.  Could he have crohns as his great uncle has that.  His dad had irriable bowel syndrome.  Im abit scared about it all.  He's only 10. Would like to hear from someone about this.
