Well i haven't been on any anti-depressants. I was thinking of talking to my counselor about though.

They can have a profound effect, a small effect, or no effect at all.  It's very individual, so we can't predict that, and different antidepressants will affect you differently.

Your question seems to be asking if you are semi-drunk on them. This is just my guess since you only wrote one sentence.
It is different for each person but I think most people have no effect as far as reasoning so they are working and taking them I read an amazing statistic that 30 million Americans are on anti-depressants, so that gives you an idea that they are thinking pretty normally.

Have you been prescribed any anti-depression meds? I see you have had a few concerns about taking anxiety pills over a year ago.

would you be willing to put a little more info?

are you currently prescribed them and just asking or wondering if the effects are normal or wondering if they will help and trying to decide or just asking as curious?

Because those factors change the answer - i have been through all three stages as have had to try different things an am just about to try something else - i just know that personally - they are not a joke but i do believe they can work with a good support system around you - explaining how they make you feel.....for me i have a rough time with side effects, but my body is such a wimp! - no but seriously - i currently tak lexapro and it has been more than helpful - i didnt feel high or low for a long time and it helped me grab onto at least enough reality to do normal human stuff again - but i had tried so many before that that i nearly gave up with all the different side effects etc - the key - a doctor and psychiatrist you trust to listen to you if you tell them that they are really not working.

always take their advice first - but dont hesitate to say anything about how you feel on them or if you know a certain aspect is worrying you- its your body and your mental health, your allowed to let them know - thats how your doctor and you can have a good trust so its much easier to know you have the option of a proffessional to contact if worried.

im off to my docs appointment now but i might see you all after....
