Hey man. I know how confusing it can be when your mind is telling you one thing and your doctors are telling you another. What you have to do is learn to trust them or find a doctor you think you can trust.
I am assuming that there have been a battery of tests performed? The results of these tests will lead to the treatment. Have you been subjected to something traumatic? Been in an accident? Been jumped? Seen someone hurt?
What dosage of clonazepam are you taking and how often?
Like many mood meds, they start off at an initial dose level which may be increased once your doctor sees how you're reacting to them (and once your body adapts to them). To start you off on a robust level might be too much of a shock for your body. [[This also means when it's time to discontinue them, you will need to wean yourself off them gradually to avoid serious withdrawal symptoms.]]
What non-med approaches are you using to manage your predisposition to anxiety?
