The doctor finally changed my meds to citalopram. My sister is also on this one. It will take weeks for it to fully kick in but I am now able to get some sleep. I am going to also change doctors to the doctor my girls go to. They are also on meds. She seems to listen more than my male doctor. (go figure) I also started therapy with a therapist. Hopefully it helps.  This all started because my 10 year ofd dog died and couldn't handle it.

You might want to put your post on the heart forum as well as anxiety. Most of us here won't know anything about heart questions.
Did you ask him about changing your meds? Have you been on others that did or didn't work before?

he wants to put a heart monitor on me. He also suggested therapy. Here I am at 1030 at night and have to  get up at 430 and cannot sleep because of the attacks.

After your tests came out ok, what did your doc suggest you do to deal with the panic?

I too suffer from panic attacks, since I was 15. I have been taking 20 mg paxil for years and just recently the attacks came back and I felt out of control. Doc prescribed lorazepam and it helps! I HATE taking pills but its better then feeling anxious every SECOND. I also am in therapy and joined a local support group. I feel the same way you do, it hasn't affected me this bad in years. I struggle everyday but I am here! good luck my dear.

I agree w/ mammo, best talk to a doctor. I get bad anxiety and attacks, but they are now starting to get under control w/ the help of meds (klonopin). I really was afraid to take meds, but I'm glad I did. I've had no bad side effects from it either, but everyone is different.

Good luck and take care

I have been on Paxil for years. This time is the worst, it has never affected my life like it has this time. Not sure if I'm taking to much mg or not enough.

You need to seek professional help with your anxiety either with therapy and/or medication.  Medication will stop the panic attacks and to me that makes it worth it's weight in gold!  You have choices and don't have to continue living like this.  Seek help so you can get your life back!

Yes, I've been the same way. I feel like shaky inside. I get attacks at night too. I thinks its just hard for our brains to shut down, there is too much going on in our minds. Try drinking sleepy time tea, you may need to boil 2 or 3 bags to 1 cup. Sit and enjoy your tea, usually the time it takes for your tea to cool is the time your body and brain will have to relax!!
