Anxiety?

I was hoping to get some light shed on my experience. Today I went to the ER due to a heart rate of 120-144.
I had chest x-rays, blood/urine samples, and they all came back fine. I am breathing normal and my only symptoms are; fast heart rate, sweating/cold chills, and sometimes a shaky feeling. Is this anxiety or could the doctor have missed something serious? What can I do for these symptoms? I have tried breathing slow and counting to 10 but it doesn't seem to help.

Well a chest x-ray can certainly show some issues that might be wrong with your heart if that’s what you’re asking about, if there is --then they would probably also do an EKG and an echocardiogram. But chances are you’ll first get the EKG that’s when they hook up those little sticky electrodes to your chest and it takes like 10 seconds to read your heart. Blood work would it depends which tests they order, normally for your symptoms they’ll check your thyroid, kidneys, liver, glucose and many other stuff included with was is usually called a CMP and also they usually order a CBC which is a blood count of your blood plus if they think you do have heart issues they’ll do a cardiac panel which shows your cholesterol levels and other fats in your blood and even sometimes if you have had a heart attack that would come up on the blood test. But by the way your symptoms are described it does seem to lean towards that stupid anxiety, I should know, I’ve been there done that and continue to have rough days but I also have good days. I posted a web address before if you look above this posts and if you would read that book “it’s free” it’s not a book I wrote or any crap like that, you can just copy and paste the address and it will come up as a PDF so you don’t even have to go out to get it, it just explains what the hell is going on with you if what you have is anxiety, I almost drove myself crazy running from doctor to doctor, test after test and nothing, if you are having anxiety attacks then you should really read this book or you can run around trying to look for answers and keep running into dead ends like I did, Friend the reason I’m posting this is if there are more people out there with this anxiety/panic/fear/impending doom feelings hopefully this will bring them some relief. Now of course your symptoms could be something else and not anxiety at all so of course it’s always better to go with your instinct and get it checked out by your doctor if you know or have a strong feeling something is just not right. I had blood work after blood work done, spinal tap, MRI of my brain, chest x-rays, echocardiogram, stress test, sleep studies, doctor put me on anti-anxiety and anti-depression meds but Thank God I’m still hanging in there. When I came across this book is when I finally started to slow down and stop trying to figure out every little symptom I was having, if a headache I thought Brain aneurysm, if chest pain it’s a heart attack, if my stomach would ache then it was cancer all this crap comes from a tired and nervous mind, have you had a lot of stress or drastic crap in your life recently, do you not get enough rest, are you a worrisome person that’s always worried about stupid crap—if so this disorder tends to stem from that. I do take my meds, I used to wean myself off of them but that’s not a good idea-when I would start to feel better I figured I did not need them anymore but I don’t recommend anybody do that since depression meds normal take up to 4 weeks to build up in your blood to be effective. Hope this novel I wrote helps.

This has been happening to me over a period of months now (not to make you worried your symptoms will continue; everyone is different) and I am convinced (and have been told) that it is probably due to some strain of anxiety. If you've already been checked and given the OK then just keep telling yourself you'll be fine. it'll get better.

Can someone please help me by answering my question? thank you.

Today I woke up with my heart racing and can't get myself to eat anything.. I have pains from my neck to my arms. I just can't make myself accept that this is anxiety and nothing else. Does anyone know what all shows up in chest x-rays, and blood tests? I feel like that would give me piece of mind.

Until you can accept that they have provided a professional diagnosis and that you can't self-diagnose, you will not find peace. Your "symptoms" are classic anxiety, btw.
You said in the first post that you have just experienced this fear for a few days, so you are probably having a hard time putting this fear in perspective, but if you can find something else to occupy your mind the fear will disappear and you will be back to normal -, For me it disappeared and later on looking back all this fear is just a memory.
Write back within a day at a minimum.

I'm pretty new to this forum but not new to the symptoms you are experiencing, I to have gone to the ER many times with HR of 140 and over, chest pains, dizziness all kinds of crap. I had MRIs, blood works, spinal taps, stress tests, EKGs, echocardiograms, I think I have exhausted every avenue of course I've also gone to a psych doc that put me on anxiety meds and also depression meds, who wouldn't feel depressed after all this crap, the first time I had one of this panic attacks it scared the hell out of me  but now I know what it is, there is a book that I came across that really helped me understand what was going on with me and I'll post the web address its a PDF, read it as soon as you can, this will save you a lot of money and stress of course I don't recommend that you don't go see a doctor but all of my tests were always normal and it just drove me to a point of hopelessness until I read this book, If you've been under a lot of stress and stuff that could be part of it, I was going through a lot of issues when I first had this happen to me and I'm still recuperating it takes a longtime for this to build up until our bodies say no more so you will have to be patient for your body to recover since it did not get to this level over night, hope this helps.

I have been under a lot of stress with worrying about my health. I have never had this feeling before I just can't get it through my head that this is anxiety and the doctors haven't missed anything.

When I was at the ER with the heart rate of 120-144 they watched me and it lowered to 90-100. After seeing my tests were all fine they diagnosed it as anxiety.

Are you under a lot of stress right now?  Have you had a history of anxiety?  In my opinion, anxiety/panic can manifest itself in almost any way imanginable.  Shortness of breath, fast heart beat, sweating, feeling of dread, etc. are all things I have experienced with anxiety.

Do you have access to counseling?  If this is your first real experience with anxiety, just talking it over and learning about it goes a long way in confronting it in my opinion.

Many people have gone to ER with similar symptoms to yours and found there was nothing wrong with them, so you can find similar stories to yours on this forum which may be a source of information you can benefit from.
I also had an ECG like you, convinced something was wrong but when the results came back I accepted the doc's diagnosis and never had any fears or "symptoms" since. Accepting the diagnosis is the only way to peace which most people are able to do, however for some it just won't go away. Here is a guy in that situation. http://www.medhelp.org/user_journals/show/857117/5--CNN-article-about-anxiety-sufferer
Did you have the fast heart rate in the ER too? If so, what did they say about it?
