Does anyone elase have problems with leapro causing blood pressure to rise

I have been on lexapro for about 5 weeks. My blood pressure is increasing. It's running 130's over 90's. Doctor wants to put me on water pill. i don't want to take something else because antidepressant causing bp to rise that's crazy. Is there any antidepressants that help with anxiety that do not cause blood pressure to rise?

Most medications cause bp to slightly elevate, the best thing to do is, monitor your blood pressure and talk with your doctor.

BP can rise and fall through out the day, but if your bp stay's consistently high, and your bp was normal prior to taking Lexapro, then I suggest talking to your doctor about a different med.

I had to stop taking Nortriptyline, cause the med caused long qt on EKG.
