Health Anxiety - Suddenly

Has anyone else had this happen?  I started getting the twitching, tightness, and pins and needles moving all around different places of my body as well as weird feelings in my head, .  My senses are super sensitive.  I have lots of floaters on occasion, pain behind my eyes, and sometimes dizziness.  I also haven't been taking the best care of myself as far as drinking enough fluids and eating, particularly at first.  I haven't had any episodes with health anxiety prior to this but I have just been falling apart for the past month.  This all started the same week I found someone I know has MS, and of course some anxiety symptoms are very similar to those of MS.  I have had one or two panic attacks a few years ago, and I have OCD (consider it mild) and I have a busy and stressful life so perhaps I am a good candidate for something like this to happen to.  I have been to see my family doctor and a neurologist.  No MRI yet but neurologist doesn't think my symptoms match up with MS.  Perhaps there is something going on beyond anxiety ?I have been feeling like I'm falling apart.  I have seen the symptoms listed of anxiety and I know there are a lot of them, but has anyone out there had so many of them happen all at once?

Sure can all be from anxiety...if your doctors have said that you are physically fine, (like the above post said), then it is time to start treating your mental health.

I would suggest visiting a good psychiatrist to get a diagnosis and a plan to mental wellness.  I have found that if you do not seek help (through, books, professionals, support groups), the anxiety will just grip you and suck you in.

There is life after anxiety and you will be fine...accept it for what it is and do what you can to work on it.

Hi there,

From what you're saying, it could be anxiety.

but before you reach that conclusion, you have to make check with a Dr on your symptoms if you have symptoms that are annoying you.

Anxiety has a big list of symptoms that you could experience some or all or none depending your body & level of stress or anxiety.

for anxiety symptoms, go to this link: http://www.anxietycentre.com/anxiety-symptoms.shtml

Again, you have to check first with a dr to see if the causes of your symptoms are actually physical symptoms or not & then your dr could actually eleminate any physical disease then you can relate it to anxiety.

If you visit the site I put above, you'll see that anxiety has symptoms in EVERY single organ in your body, which may lead some people to mis-diagnose themselves with anxiety while they could have any illness that may need treatment.

cheers & regardless of what you have, if you try to relax then you should feel better.

cheers,
