My guess is that funerals attract anxiety/feeling bad. If you can divert your thoughts from negative to positive you'll win, not easy, but at least you will probably know what has caused the anxiety. Control your breathing, take some slow, deep breaths ~ hold it for a couple of seconds & slowly breath out. Listen to music that you like. Mix & be active, but not hyperactive & hopefully time will soon bring you peace. Best wishes
Just think of the funeral as a place to meet and see new people.
I was the same with funerals also. Just be the strong one at the funeral by offering to help, talking to people and just meeting new people. If you're showing you can be helpful there then you'll feel emotionally strong. Be the one person there that's strong. Thinking too much will make you crazy.
Make the funeral an event. lol Make some contacts and avoid the people you hate there. Work the room. Make that funeral a way to communicate and help others.
Go to the after funeral dinner if they have one. Go with it. Celebrate the dead person's life they lived. Feer of the unknown is worse than death itself.
