rapid hiv testing

i went to get a rapid hiv test and it was negative. The finger prick method was used, if the nurse forgot to chance the needle and someone with hiv used that needle what are my chances of getting it? I have had bad headaches and canker sores in my mouth is that a sign?

Like everybody else said, there's zero risk.  However, think to yourself...have you ever been to the hospital and seen a nurse use a needle and not throw it in the biohazard container right away?  They either have trays that are already set up for them with fresh equipment, or pull one right out of a container while you are sitting there.  You really have nothing to worry about.

You have already been told in our HIV Prevention community that this is not possible.  If you have anxiety, members can give you information to help you deal with the anxiety, but the question about risk has already been addressed.

NO RISK.

Your finger would not have been pricked with a needle. They would have used a lancet.
