I agree with the above posts 100%.  When you're in a panic situation, you have to look at the facts.  FEAR is not FACT.

1.  You're a 20 yr old young person.  Aneurysms are rare to begin with, additionally, they are pretty much UNHEARD of in someone your age.  You'd be more likely to get struck by lightning at the same time you won the lottery.

2.  You admit you have a history of anxiety, and health realted anxiety. Logic tells you that's the issue.

3.  Aneurysm DO run in families.  When they DO occur, there is almost ALWAYS a familial background.  You don't have that.

Okay...so you've looked at the facts.  You know RATIONALLY you're NOT having an aneurysm, that this is a panic attack.  So, what do you do about it?

Have you ever sought professional help for your anxiety?  If not, you need to do so.  A good place to start is with your doctor.  You can ask for a referral to a psychiatrist, who will evaluate you, offer a diagnosis, and then discuss treatment options which may or may not include therapy, medications, or both.

Reach out, and get some help with this.  You don't have to suffer needlessly.  There are a lot of people in the same boat, you are FAR from alone in this.  Please update us, let us know how you're doing!

Yes, panic attacks can feel like you're dying, but you aren't.  Anxiety can't harm you even though it can be extremely uncomfortable.

Just take comfort in knowing that you are fine, and anxiety/panic attacks can't harm you. They are uncomfortable but that's about it. When I feel anxious different things calm me down. Search for "Stress Relief with Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)" on youtube, and follow along with the guy on the video. It seems silly, but that stuff works really well for people.

People who are stressed often get weird sensations in their head. Just know that you are fine. I promise.

So you admit to being a hypochondriac, but wonder if you might have an aneurysm? I can promise you that you most certainly do not. Aneurysms are very rare and usually run in the family. So unless your immediate family has had one you have nothing to worry about at your age.
