I was getting dizziness too (not the spinning sensation though) - and my Dr gave me Meclizine (sp? sorry) - and it actually really helps, it's made for vertigo which is the spinning sensation but it has really helped me with feeling dizzy & light headed during anxiety

I have been suffering with anxiety too. I get all the symptoms you descibe bigdoug75 but i also get the 'spinning' sensation too. Not nice! I had a bad spell this morning too and have been looking on the net for answers. I hate feeling like this, it's truly ruining my life, work and social! Any advice would be highly appreciated. Maybe some techniques to help relax. I have had anxiety for 3 years and i want it gone :o(

hey sorry to hear about your problems with your symptoms and anxiety issues. As for many, you are not alone. Dizzyness is a classic for anxiety. I cant recall how many times ive stressed about the dizzy spells that it led to more dizzy spells on top and before I knew it I was at the end of the line with both ends of the sword pointed towards me. Theres no escaping once you start in panic mode! But to shed some light on the situation, you will not die, you will be just fine. There are certain medications that can help you cope with your anxiety if your having a hard time and its affecting your quality of life. Talk to your family doctor, explain your symptoms if you haven't already, and discuss a plan that will work for you. It might take more than one visit to try to find the right medication to help you live life easier. Also try changing some of the habits in your life. Simple switches like taking a walk after dinner or picking up a book to read can have significant effects on your life that can help with the anxiety. Eating right, not smoking, living a healthy lifestyle, ect can help lower stress levels with help reduce anxiety tremendously. It will take alot of time, detication and spirit to do these things, but it will all pay off in the end. My anxiety has reduced by 75% since being technically diagnosed with gad. There are simple ways (yes they are boring, and sometimes your to lazy too....) but it will pay off! Take care
