You're still not getting it. And I really want you to.

Since your anxiety is very specific to HIV, before we can help your HIV Anxiety, we need to know what your exposure was. It's entirely possible you have no reason to feel ANY anxiety at all.

We could talk to you for days about general "health anxiety," and what you can do for that, but IF you've had an HIV risk, then your life, and possibly the lives of others, is at risk and our advice is going to be entirely different.

I don't want or mean to scare you, so please post again and tell us what your exsposure was.

You never said this concern of yours was HIV related.
I feel like I've been played and I don't like it. If you're not going to be totally honest about why you are posting, then please don't bother!
Do you really expect us to be able to give you sound advice and support when you can't even tell us the truth?

I suggest you take your fears to the HIV Anxiety Group or seek professional therapy on your own.

but my dr. told me too if it was due to a new hiv infection my symptoms would last 1-2 weeks and not ongoing for four months straight..he also said that the symptoms i would get from a new infection would occur 2-4 weeks after infection and that body and joint pain alone isnt a symptom of that...but i dont know

Then before we can offer any real advice for anxiety or depression, you absolutely need to see your doctor to rule out an underlying organic cause for your chronic pain.
Just as anxiety and depression can cause real physical pain, real physical disorders can cause anxiety and depression.
I know that's a bit "chicken or the egg" kind of answer, but unfortunately it's true. And until your doctor has ruled out ANY and ALL possible physical causes for your anxiety or depression, do not blindly accept a diagnosis of anxiety/depression until they are the only cards left on the table.
And if they are, please consider therap............not just medication.

Anxiety and depression CAN cause physical pain, like muscle aches and pains, headaches brought on  by tension, stiffness. What has your doctor said? What tests have you undergone?
If you are in chronic pain, you need to be evaluated to rule out other possible disorders. The pain of depression and anxiety does come and go, but is usually not, as you say yours is, constant.
Have you actually been diagnosed with severe anxiety and depression? Are you on medication for these?
I seriously think it's time for a very long discussion with your doctor.
I wish you the best

Hi tina, stress induced anxiety can certainly cause tension, joint and body pain, headaches etc. They *** and go and are a real pain in the arse. Bet they go away after a glass of wine!
