heart beats.

ok, without axiety sometimes my heart beats fast for no reason. like i can feel it beat. like in my butt or my back. its been happening quite frequently. sometimes i get anxious and then it happens or my heart beats fast then i get anxious.
i can sometimes feel my heart beat to my whole body , like my body moves to my heart.
i dont kno what this is ? is it anxierty related.
hormones? sometimes my heart beat just goes fast for no apparent reason.
the more i think about it it beats faster? is my brain playing tricks?
my number one fear is something wrong with my heart.
is this normal?
thank you.
by the way i am a 17 year old female who has been diagnosed with several anxiety disorders and have been taking luvox for about 9 years.

I agree with heartflutters!  I have had anxiety for 8 years now and the heart pounding thing happens to me just about every day.  About three years ago I developed palps (what I call my extra beats, but pounding heart also falls in that category), so the heart pounding worried me less than it did before, but for years I worried about the pounding everyday.  I have noticed that it only happens after meals, always after eating dairy or anything containing MSG's.  It never happens with fruit, veggies, and meat, ya know the unprocessed stuff.  It will begin within 15 minutes of eating and can last for hours.  There are others I've spoken to on another forum who have anxiety but have been diagnosed with GERD as well and are convinced that it's related to the GERD more than anxiety.  I have found it to be true concerning the pounding, not so with the palps however.  The only other time I experience the pounding besides after eating is first thing in the morning, but it disappears after I drink some water.  Have yet to figure that one out.  If you find it's related to eating you could bring it up with your doc.  I did and was prescribed "the healing purple pill", but my insurance doesn't cover it and it's too expensive for me.  I just live with it.  Hope this helps you and that you find relief soon!
