You could try to apply for temporary disability, but it's not easy to get approved. You would have to submit the proper forms, along with the supporting info from your doctor(s), then there's a waiting period, it's not a super quick process. You can google " temporary disability application, *your state name*". That should give you a starting place anyway.
You could also contact your local county's legal aid dept and make an appointment to discuss your options. Whenever possible, it's always better to get the assistance of a lawyer when applying for things like disability. You would have a much better chance of getting somewhere with a lawyer on board. Also, while you're checking into your local county's resources, you could look into their mental health resources. You'd be surprised at some of the things that are available to the residents at little to no cost.
Other options would be to see if any family members/friends would be willing to help you out for a little while with finances. I know you probably don't want to do that, but it's something to put on your list. Another option would be a personal loan, if you could pull it off.
Good luck to you! Hope you figure something out!
to clarify I am not looking to babysit or homecare I cannot function enough right now to do a job, I mean options as far as unemployment, temp disability, things like that for income...
To stay home, maybe do some child care. Babysitters earn good money.
If you have enough space, rent out your room & sleep in the living room.
